if they were working legally they get standard redundancy, f the company couldn't afford it they get the standard redundancy from the insolvency service - if they were working illegally they deserve nothing and any fines and deportation/ban on entering the UK coming to them

This is the crux really, even if the players can prove the their side of the argument and show the now defunct club aided them in illegally entering the country then how really are they going to get their money back. Best bet is to get the deportation lifted, but really, it's down to the individual to check immigration documents, not the company, even if the company raised them.

I can't see how the RFL are implicated in this, theirs is to register the player and probably to advise in a tertiary role.

The other part too all this is how are these players going to attend court if thats were it ends up, if they are not allowed to enter the country they aren't going to be able to take the stand.

THe RFL could be implicated if they were aware of how the Crusaders were signing their overseas players and in the article that kicked this off, they were said to be aware of the situation ?

The RFL are implicated as they advised the club and players to use ileagal visa's, that is if you believe the players, there is no proof, just what they say

The RFL will just keep quiet and hope it all gets forgotten , if they comment on it, they would end up having to answer questions on it, something they will want to avoid at all costs
