I'll tell you why it's not excellent! Last year, we had just won 3 in a row and Cas had lost 7 on the bounce! We only got 3500 cos Cas fans did not travel! Don't use that as a benchmark for claiming 5200 in a new stadium is excellent!
And Cas did bring 1500 easy, if not then the crowd was only 4200!!!!!
Either way we had 2700 paying Salford punters which is less than the corresponding fixture last year!

The north stand at Leigh must hold at least 5,000 then jc, it is double the size of the ones at Barton

I would never have said it held 2500 either but thats what the stadium facts say.

Obviously vastman, knows more about the crowds size than the salford and cas fans that were actually there, and the neutrals watching on tv.

Or alternatively he could just be upset because cas took a decent turnout and he has a problem with anything positive said about cas.

I was sat in the main stand, great hospitality by the way, there were a lot of Castleford fans in the main stand as well who were very vocal. Shame about the weather, must have kept the locals away. Getting away was slow, stewards were having a tough time but the snow was to blame not them.

The game should not have been played.
