| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"You don't blame him for it? He deserves the abuse he gets because of his behaviour. The abuse he gets isn't any worse than other players get. The likes of Graham will be shouted at at every ground in SL. Yet they act with class and aren't drawn into such childish nonsense as sticking two fingers up.'"
Does Danny McGuire not deserve it even more? you only have to watch the replay and focus on him to see the how dirty he is something i missed was after a try he smashed and rubbed his hand in charnleys face when he was on the ground. "McGuire Face Rub " go search
Delaney nearly stamped on carmonts head and not to mention how dirty bailey is..Sam may milk penaltys but can you honesty tell me the leeds players actions are not worse than his?? how is a "proffesional and experienced" player smashing someone in the face, rubbing his hand in his face.. also earlier picking someone up as if they are trying to poke their eyes out and trying to headbutt a player at the end anywhere near as bad as what McGuire does week in week out??

No but to suggest he's a disgrace is ludicrous. Throwing that word around for a minor issue makes him sound like he's Greg Bird or Matthew Johns.

Yeah but didn't you lot wish serious injury upon McGuire and celebrate the severity of his injury? So he is therefore, by your own system of rugby god retribution, fully justified in his actions against the Wigan players?

'" What about Wigan players on BJB after they put him in touch from the scrum base? Pushing his face into the floor after play had finished.
Swings and roundabouts.

| People still going on about this?
So he flicked the V to some Leeds fans and got reprimanded and fined for it. He'll be the death of RL he will.

In the end it is probably good publicity for RL. The game needs its characters and pantomime villains. Too many nice guys like Roby and Ryan Hall.

Agreed.
People bang on about Bailey (including me, but mainly to wind up Leeds fans) but the game would be less fun without the villains.
Millward back next year too, good stuff.

| Quote vastman="vastman"And then in the real world...
It's pure jealousy and nothing more. As a Wakey fan my expectations are fairly low so I find it fairly easy to accept that the really great players are at other clubs. Teams like Hull and Leeds with their pretensions of greatness find it much harder to accept they are second best. Hence the hissy fit when Wigan have a truly gifted player who makes a minor error of judgement.
Your argument is so flawed it's basically ridiculous. If you boo a player for the reasons you give why isn't Ryan Bailey or Cockayne to name but two bood off the park every game. Come off it, people abuse him because he makes their star players look like dobbins.
As for Roby being ahead of Tomkins as MOS - absolutely hilarious.'"
Complete tripe.
Your whole argument is flawed though. The point you're trying to make is that Tomkins is booed because he's good. How many of the league's best players are booed because of their talent? Name some...
Your two examples of players that apparently flaw my argument aren't very good. Bailey is despised and I'd hardly say Cockayne is liked.
Being good makes Tomkins idiot behaviour more noticeable, but his talent isn't the reason he is booed. If Bailey and Cockayne were any good, their idiot behaviour would be more noticeable as they'd be on the radar. Roby, despite being on the radar as he is one of the league's best players, isn't booed. Neither was Burgess.

Your jealous mate, end of. It's sad and typically British. Why not push the positives this lad brings to our game rather than the negatives. Good player though Roby is he does not interest the British sporting public in a way Tomkins does. He made a silly gesture, he didn't run a small child down whilst drunk - think on.

You have no argument. You're reduced to telling me what mine and other people's opinions are when the reality is you're too narrow-minded to realise that people have different opinions to you and too stubborn to admit you are wrong to assert your opinion without a decent argument.
Roby has been consistently brilliant for years. Tomkins is very much the new kid on the block. That's the reason he excites. It's new. Roby excited earlier in his career, and probably would have been elevated to greater heights had he not been held back by Cunningham. To laugh at the thought that Roby could be MoS shows your lack of understanding of the sport and again your stubborn narrow-mindedness.
As for the "he didn't run a child down", I am very much of the opinion that if he did run a child down, the apologists on here would then be saying "well the child didn't die". It's a terribly desperate argument to try and excuse one wrong doing because it's not as bad as another.
Now come back when you've actually got an argument, instead of telling us how we feel.

Of course I have an argument and it's wiping the floor with yours.
I really don't feel the need to take this any further, I've made a very good point end of. To go any further would make this a pedantic quote feast which is exactly what you want.
For me you're wrong, get over it and move on. V
