As dull and boring as some may think SL is, the speed of the game alone would mean that the majority of current championship players would have trouble adjusting......(see the years when P&R existed and the yo-yoing of teams who weren't ready.)
I have no doubt there are a few players in the Championship who wouldn't look out of place in a SL side, but I still think Widnes (for example, if they get the nod) would have at least 20 NEW faces at the club...if not more. It will be interesting to see what happens if say, castleford (just an example...not starting another bunfight) were to be demoted......how many players would be signed by the team replacing them? We are told that the UK game is short on real talent......would the castleford club be able to afford to keep their current squad? Same applies for Wakey, Salford, Quins, Crusaders etc......
