Workington Town took on Workington Zebras in a rlcross coderl charity match in aid of the Workington Floods.

1st Half to Union Rules - Surprised that Town scored the first try and managed to win the Half. To be fair to the Zebras they had been involved a RU County Cup semi the day before and the scrums weren't contested.

Interesting attempts at lining out by Town.

2nd Half to League Rules with rlGary Schofieldrl playing for Town for the full half. He scored a conversion at the end of the game to allow him to say that he has scored for every team he has played for.

Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Thanks to both clubs and Gary Schofield.

Fact for the day - According to the programme the ancestor to Workington Zebras went across to the Northern Union in 1898 before liquidating and reforming as Workington RUFC in 1909.

It shows them up for what they are when you get genuine post like this mentioning league v union but doesn't gloat over the result whilst they get hard ons every time they think League has come up trumps.....sad little me that they are.

The important thing here is it seems a good day was had by all and a few quid went to a decent cause... eusa_clap.gif

Sad little you is right...

I read the thread but didn't want to drive guttertroll back to his lines...

On second thought...who cares.

What level are the Zebras? Never heard of them?
Just hope they raised a bit for the charities

That doesn't surprise me, the egotistical c**t.

Still, good to hear that something is being done to help the victims of the floods. Good stuff. eusa_clap.gif
