Everyone at Storm (and a hell of a lot of their fans) have known for years that DJ and his missus want to travel and experience life in Europe. This is an opportunity he thought was too good to refuse so he grabbed it - and good on him. Mal Meninga wants to be able to pick Dallas Johnson for QLD next season even though he'll be playing in France with Catalans. He wants the ARL to change the rules so that he can play. I bet Catalans dont want him being picked and missing 6 weeks of the SL season to go back and play Origin.
Just pick someone else Mal. David Stagg, Corey Parker, there's plenty of others that will be hoping to get a chance and are as good as Johnson.

If they open the door there'll be loads going, well, the amount outgoing's been limited by that tax dodge closing but SL will target the highest earning stars if this rule changed, drop 3 average imports and go for a Smith or Hayne etc
