I honestly believe that had Hull FC had the squad they planned to have, they would have been top of the table. There was no way they could have envisaged a problem with visa approvals. At the time it hadn't happened.

Crocker would have enforced the back row just as Berrigan, Cusack and Dowes form a formidable front row.

I think Thorman was a poor signing that Jon Sharp clearly instigated, i have no idea what he offers. He's too inconsistent.

An overhaul isn't needed, but they do need quality signings. Horne should stay at Full-Back and they can focus on bringing two quality halves to the club. Lose Motu Tony and cut your losses. Fitzgibbon is a good signing, yes he's ageing but he's proven he's still one of the best back rowers in the NRL. A goal kicker too, may end up taking over from the inconsistent Tickle.

Radford, Fitzgibbon and Washbrook with Tickle coming off the bench is a very good back row.

Replace him with Manu. Hopefully this will be Radford's last season, he offers nothing.

Not for me it isn't, even add Manu to that list and it still isn't that impressive.

Tickle seems to me to be a pretty consistent kicker. At 32/33, I'm not sure that Fitzgibbon will bring much extra.
