| Our bogey team up next. 2 years since we last beat them in a league game?
Important we get a win here. A point and brave effort against Toulouse and Wakey are good. But a defeat here and those efforts are for nothing as it will be 3 games without a win. York look to be struggling with injuries with all their spine (Dagger, Harris and Hingano) looking like they could he out. However they look to have picked up their form and on one of those runs they tend to go on.
Looking like we can only select those who are fit again. But really need to make sure we win this.

| We were short in the forwards so we’ve moved to loan a couple of forwards. Other than that, either Myers or Tindall for Taufua and the team sort of picks itself.
I think York have their own injury problems but that seems to be across most clubs at the moment.

| York have named their squad. Dagger and Harris are out injured but Hingano is fit. Liam Harris ran us ragged earlier this year so him being out is good news for us. York are in good form winning 6 of their last 8 games. In their last 2 games they've bagged a lot of points by battering Barrow and then nilling Doncaster. They'll be coming in confident of an upset and we will have to be on top form to nullify their attack.
Our squad looks very big with us naming 7 props in the initial 21 man squad. It's a toss up between dropping Mason, who I felt looked slightly off the pace against Wakefield, and giving Okoro his place. Looks like we will be loading the bench with size and aggression.
Should be a great game!

| I think Mason will be given some time to get himself fit. He definitely needs a mini pre season to shed a bit of weight, I think EOC was so short on numbers for Wakey that Mason put his hand up to play. He didn't let anyone down but he definitely needs some more time before he is ready to play regularly.

| A bit of added pressure now on the next few games. Lose and we are dragged into a scrap for 4/5/6 and lose all hope of 2/3. I think Toulouse & Sheffield will drop further points but if we go 4 pts or more behind them that will very likely see us out of that race.
Expecting another tough game today, time to make amends for earlier in the season.

| Apart from Wakefield, who are in a class of their own, I would like no other club to “do the double” on us, starting today

| What is it about playing York that seems to want to make us try to self-destruct?

| Not the best performance, some very sloppy periods but found enough quality to get the result. Definitely some very tired bodies out on that pitch today which isn't surprising after two big efforts against Toulouse and Wakefield.
Could definitely so do with some fresh legs for next week at Widnes.

| We had a lack of energy for most of the game but found a way to win today. Not so long ago we wouldn't have managed that so pleased with the result. Barrow did us a favour as well! Great touch by the players at the end for Sam Hallas.

| We got the win against a team we always seem to struggle against. Those final 10 minutes were breathtaking for all the wrong reasons. I felt that when we went 30-10 up we became complacent and the cue went in the rack. York were dead and buried but the final 10 minutes showed what they're capable of and why they are still a team that can hurt you. I felt that overall we played well and the result was never really in doubt (until those final 5-10 mins ). We held our composure and some brilliant individual play from Souter got us up the field and Fulton delivered the KO punch to see off the Knights once and for all. I also felt that if Lilley was more accurate with the boot those final 10 minutes wouldn't have been so tense.
During the first half York capitalized on our mistakes in our 20m area and scored 2 cheap tries. Once we sorted out the errors they never got a sniff. Pele, Doro and the rest of the pack created some good momentum for our backs to cause some problems. We saw some moments of great individual play this afternoon. Doro's break was superb, we'll miss his go forward massively next year. Lehmann's footwork in the corner for his try was good and Myers never giving up on the play resulted in him scoring from a kick. Appo punching holes in the York defence also resulted in a score. Gilly scoring a brace and always being a threat down the edge. Does anyone know who got MOTM?
Another massive test next week against the Vikings. Win that one and we open up a 4 point gap between us and the chasing playoff pack.
Finally, glad that we could get the win for the Hallas family!

| Big two points that. They'll be plenty of chat about letting York back into it with 10 minutes left. However York are a momentum team, they get 1 try then 2, 3 straight after. Love to see the stats but I think they're one of the highest points scorers in the last 10 minutes.
I don't think we should underestimate the amount of energy the last two weeks will have taken out of us. Toulouse hammering Wakey shows what a big point for us that was over there, then to back that up and push Wakefield hard the week after, this was always likely to be the game, against an in form York side, that caught up with us. Look at the other results and fatigue is definitely playing a Factor. Sheffield losing two games against side's fighting at the bottom and even Wakefield looking tired against Toulouse. It's a great win for us.

| Couldn't make it to this one but the "cue on the rack" comment chimes with what someone told me who was there. Could've paid the price there but I'll take a scrappy win after the exertions of the last two games. York are on the up again so it was a good win.
