Both have new spine players and coaches might not work for both yet

You'd rather it be Haliax
In all seriousness it will be a fascinating season. Leigh and Fev are definitely the strongest two (although neither are as strong as Toulouse & Fev of the season just gone IMO)
You can see both teams taking the p! $$ out of the league such is their quality. Equally you can see both totally imploding and causing untold damage to themselves.

| Any super league fan begging for the cap to be removed needs to take a look at this division imo. Completely unbalanced and in all likelihood, we all know the top 2 at the end of the season before a ball has even been kicked.

| I'm not (yet?) convinced it's going to be as clear cut as some are saying
Leigh have currently got 18 players signed on, two of whom are loan players from St Helens. Obviously they are going to sign more, but let's see what the standard of their other signings are before we assume they'll be Top 2. As it stands now, they are a few injuries away from barely being able to field a team.
And I'm not convinced either about Fev. They've lost some good players, signed some and overall look a bit weaker than 2021. Also got a fair few older guys. Again, injuries could hamper them.
I still think those two will be around the top 2 but I don't think it will be as clear cut as this season. I think Halifax could get in among them, and there are others who will probably spring the odd surprise here and there. I don't see Fev and Leigh miles ahead at the top.

| Fev and Leigh both look strong. Perhaps we could have "covid" when we play them

And then do a Sheffield and get away with refusing to reschedule.

I think a new rule will 'suddenly appear' in the standing orders if we try it. Maybe even the current rules will actually be enforced? We wouldn't get away with it though, as I'm sure you know Not even with us being their favourites.

| Big effort on the recruitment front by Fev and Leigh, both showing laudable ambition. Halifax have done well too, but I think it will ultimately be between Fev and Leigh.
Once their squads are assembled it’s down to the coaches to manage their respective campaigns.
McDermott is a bit of an oddball but is a proven winner who can handle big reputations and egos.
Lam comes across as a really nice guy but looked out of his depth at Wigan. He will have learnt from that experience though.
Should be an exciting season.
