| Higher percentage of diehards at Odsal next season. But we're playing teams mostly atmosphere could go either way. Maybe a few new songs, banners or pyro there?

| Do you think even for smaller expected gates, we'll open the whole ground, and if so do you think a small band will form in the middle of the terrace above the tunnel?
As someone who's only ever sat down three times in all the time I've been going, I'd much rather stick to the terraces but economically there will be times when that's barely viable you'd think.

| They're selling ground season tickets, with the strapline, "to secure your spot on the terraces", so I guess at least a part of the terrace is going to be open each week. I suppose to cut down on the number of stewards they could tape off most of the ground and leave one, or maybe two, sections open.
Though I would never, ever use words like 'poop for any teams, I do have to agree with the OP in the sense that, if we [as one of probably just three fully pro teams] are having 'good competitive games' against some of the bottom half teams, then we're certainly not going to trouble the SL teams in the middle eight, or maybe even [imake[/i the middle eight. And that's not to be dismissive of anyone, it's just a simple truth. To be fair, if we're beating these teams, even by more than enough to prevent 'classic' games, I'll live with it for a year if it brings promotion. And to be honest, I suspect that just about all of them are going to come to try and spoil our party and as I've said before, let's hope they do play in a physical and determined fashion, as it's definitely not in our best interests to get used to 'walkovers', however few.

| Comment I heard was that plan was to open full ground for majority of games next season. If it looked economically unviable their may be one or two games where they only open provident stand. Think it will depend to an extent what sort of home support we attract tbh. Even best supported championship teams aren't going to bring more than 1k with majority being in low hundreds at a gues.

| if it was the case that only the provident stand was open, which I doubt, how can club charge more to sit down than stand on terrace? just a thought.

| It surely will make sense to never open behind the sticks but leave a fair few sections down the side open. I understand why away fans have gone there in the past but it's the worst view in the ground and I'd be happy to rub along with away fans down the side (fnurk fnurk). In fact I'm looking forward to it. Not those filth from hunslet obviously.

| I don't really get why people assume the attendances next season will be any lower than this season
If we were willing to pitch up this season to see us get absolutely smashed every week, then why wouldn't we go next year when we will have better team and will be winning most of the time?
OK, we'll probably have fewer away fans (although there were some very low away supports this season), but if anything I think we might start to see more of the lost fans coming back.
Honestly, I think we'll get crowds at or near the 2014 levels

| From what has been said it looks like the plan for next year is based on 4000 fans, which is considerably more than the average gates in the Championship. If we can bring in more than that I would hope it will provide some extra ammunition when we get to the business end of season and mean that we will already have a bigger gate than the SL strugglers.

| TBH I don’t think they’ll drop much if at all. Speaking personally I’ll be going to more games as we should be playing better rugby and there’s a bunch of new opponents and new grounds to go to. I’m looking forward to it which is a novelty because recently I’ve almost felt like it was an obligation rather than something to do for pleasure.

| The chance to visit some new grounds is a bonus for me too, so despite being in Div 2 [ I always work in old money, EG City play in Div 3]I'm hoping crowds aren't going to drop too much. There's been a fair bit made about charging more in a lower league than we did in the top flank but then the cost involved won't drop [ithat[/i much, and hopefully, better results will bring them in.

Its also the chance to see some new players. Just looked at the Ulugia youtube video, and he can create breaks run pass (cut out pass at the end, short inside pass quite early in the vid etc both try assists) tackle score tries and assists and catch the high ball. Ok its highlights but tackling and high ball catching don't always feature in other highlight vids. So seeing how he fares is going to be interesting. and we will get the opportunity, as this squad was built with rotation in mind. So the level of debate following the squad announcement before each game is going to be a whole lot better this season too!!!

| I've another reason to look forward to the coming season: the Barrow and Workington aways are just around the corner so I'll be able to say to the missus "just going out to the pub for a quick pint dear" and off I go.

| There used to be a pub called the Jolly Sailor at Workington IIRC, near the harbour. Safe to say it's a few years since I was in there but it will be good to go and see.
