Sadly, I've just heard that Paul Medley is to leave club after just under 25yrs at the club to take up a role with the RFL.

I'd personally like to thank Paul for all he has done for the club as both player and staff. He will be very sadly missed I'm sure.

Great servant to the club. Digressing slightly, my earliest memory off him is running on the pitch at Thrum Hall, as we'd won the Challenge cup Quarter Final (Burnden park next up. Yummy), slowly coming to grips with the laws of perspective, and eventually hugging his knees.

That's a huge loss to the club. Paul's been a great servant of the club for decades and recently seens to have been running the club's youth teams single handed.
Wish him well and I am sure he will do a great job for the rfl, but for the Bulls looks like another wheel falling off.

I heard Medley applied for the RFL role just before he started at Bradford.

Great player and great servant to the club. I wish him all the best. I hope he can talk some bl00dy sense into the idiots at the RFL.

I'd like to thank Paul for all he's done for the club. If anyone exemplified all that was good at the club it is Paul.

When he gets to Rot Hall I hope he delivers a few crash tackles on some people who deserve it.....

Medley's job has not been confirmed. The RFL want evidence that he can pay his tax for the next 10 years, a £1/2m bond and they are going to withhold half his wage for the next 2 years and distribute it amongst the other staff. The last bloke also left a lot of debts and a tax bill, so Medley has to pay those.

The RFL gave a substantial loan to the last bloke which he can't pay back so Medley needs to cover that too.

The last bloke also had given a charge over all his assets to Greggs, but has defaulted. For some reason the RFL don't want to upset Greggs, so Medley has to pay them too.

And for the next 12 months he has to agree to Nigel Wood accompanying him on weekly shopping trips to approve any purchases.

It is an unwritten clause of the contract (in order that the RFL can deny any such arrangement ever existed in the event of death by starvation)that the employee buys 24 jam donuts on each and every such aforementioned shopping trip as amended by clause subsection 99b.(written as we speak)

A big loss. Medders has been a great servant to the club since 1989. Good luck to him.

Should have happened ages ago then kids like Wardle, Hellewell, Naughton wouldn't have left.

Yeah that's all down to Medley and nowt to do with the club having bugger all money or them not ready to play in the first team.
