Got the email the other day saying our away shirt will be launched and available to purchase when we play cas, a, I correct in assuming the players will be playing in the away shirt instead of the home. Sure they did this last season and the season before that?

Any ideas on the design?

Here's a preview of the new away kit, modelled by Sammutt and our new signing, Methuselah (on a 250 year loan) at the new Hades training facility.

The sticks are a new feature, for the players and fans alike to beat themselves about the head with, or poke in their eyes. There is no undergarment or protective padding as we have been penalised half our kit.

You will note that the Spit and Bile Balcony for Wakey fans has not in fact been built, as head groundsman Mr. B.L. Zebub explained it would interfere with the eternal fire temperatures.

The colours are almost in the right order too.

I dug out a signed shirt from the 2005 GF (those where the days) that. I forgot I even had and the colours on the sleeves are in order red, black and amber, wonder if people complained then also?

Complained? Just a bit!

Hell, Bullseye got a very public ticking-off from a head coach at a fans forum around then, for complaining about the colour order. The shame lives with him to this day.

Wasn't one of the "traditional" shirts from the early 1900s also not in the [earwigoagain] RA&B order? I'm obviously assuming they [that is the 'new' retro designs] were taken from old photos.

Though, in their defence, it should be noted that black and red look very alike in old monochrome photos....

I think that Leeds fan Mr Duffy was to blame. He must've said something to McNamara who from then on became McBanana to me. His sense of good taste in jerseys was up there with his ability to spot a good player.

Unlike the home shirt I've no idea what the away shirt will be, some say it's the purple and green colours again, and for some reason I think it may look like the St Helens away kit from this year, but the blue majority is purple with a green v.
