Article in T&A today about Donaldson,if he's getting offered a new contract or not

He has been mentioned on here a time or two, he has his fans and some who are not his fans

Keeping it to a one word answer,so no arguments start on difference of opinions,should he get offered a new contract

Donno is one of those we need to keep hold of. He's not had the best of luck with injuries [to say the least] but that surely can't last forever. A fit and well James Donaldson will be a big asset for years to come, he is only 22 let's not forget.

Yes for me, with Langley and Walker getting near the end of their carers he is just the sort if young player you need in the squad. Always shows good effort and defence.

Every other SL club would take Donaldson. Some very good judges across the sport rate Donaldson. We have Donaldson. He has loads of potential and has been held back by bad luck. I am personally sick of watching ex-Bulls starring for every other club. We would be nuts to let him go.

Agreed. Seems like every game I watch on Sky features ex-Bulls players playing really well. I'd hate to see Donaldson doing the same next season. The young ones are our future. We can't afford to bring in stars (and I'm not sure I want to anyway), so we need to invest in and nurture Donaldson and his contemporaries.

I don't know if I would agree that every other super league club would want Donaldson

Surely if that was the case he wouldn't be spending so much time at Dewsbury

Northernrelic states he shows good effort and defence,surely that should be a given if you want to be a super league player(yes I know in some games this season not all of our players shown that,Leeds at home especially)

It's the lack of anything with ball in hand that I'm on about,and you can't say he always takes it in,yes he does but his lack of size means he doesn't do anything to get excited about

Think it's time we looked at a better class of player not just average squad members

If every player was dumped at the end of their contracts because they had injuries, poor performance etc. We would have no team, no team spirit - nothing.
You need to nurture the future players - it's the only hope the Bulls have stopping in the SL1 and avoiding the drop at the end of 2014.

I am on the fence. I don't like him as a player personally but I do respect the fact that he can defend. He just has no go forward and we desperately need players that have that go forward or else we will continue to be battered by other packs.
