Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| Perfect two results last night TBH. One team we will not catch (Wigan) beat Hull FC and Wakefield win keeping the bottom teams a wee bit behind. This weeks result now is now really a bonus if we get anything at all IMO. Hopefully Leeds will do us a favour at KR too.
It will remain any three from two all season. Lets see the Hull sides losing!

Same with me, I was thinking earlier that when Warrington beat us tomorrow we won't fall down the table.
Then think of the reward if we beat Warrington....

No offence but that IMO is a garbage attitude. This team will win more than it loses which means due to the current play off system we'll be in it. So I'm aiming high personally and backing the lads

| I would of thought we all looked at results like that
Think it's best we look at the teams below us instead of the teams above us
We will not finish above teams such as Wigan, wolves, etc, but if we finish above Hull, saints etc we have done very well

| Sky commentary was once again...[iSuperb[/i
Slaphead was incisive and intelligent in his rare comments on the play and his glove puppet's performance was exemplary.
Clarkie's algorithms continue to be things of mathematical wonder.
On an ancillary point I thought the game held opportunities for both sides to improve, particularly in tackling on or near their own try line.

How so? Pretty realistic in all honesty.
Plus, the more teams below up lose, the sooner we would be safe in the play-offs and either give us a chance to relax and push for a higher position in the table, or, alternatively it would allow us to rest weary bodies (given our small squad) and therefore make us a bit stronger at the business end.

| Is there any other way to look at the results from the rest of the league? They either benefit or hinder us in our pursuit of a top 8 finish. After this weekend's results, we cannot currently drop even with a loss against Wire this afternoon, unless it's a complete massacre of the Wigan under Millward type.

Ha ha, guess you've got me there Maccbull, but choosing which team you want to win in a game you watch as a 'neutral' is pretty much the norm I think. I base my choice on our current position, and garbage or not, I'm happy with that - well I am this week...

| The maths are if you win more than half your games you in the playoffs. My view is more aspirational than hoping other teams slip up and it is that any points we can take from Wigan, Wire, Huddersfield, Leeds or Catalans take us nearer to the play offs - so we have some in the pot already care of our West Yorks neighbours. So in the interests of the expansion of the game we could do with a few points from our friends across the Pennines - even posh places like Cheshire this afternoon.
