| Not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet but its now official... not a huge surprise since it was rumoured a long time ago and he was OOC!
Still think it is a loss for us for next season! He was a good finisher and knows where that try line is!
Report on Superleague site by the way

| I know this might sound like some kind of sour grapes over a player leaving us but TBH, Crookes has only really kicked on this year. Being OOC and in the last chance saloon probably had something to do on that score.
He's hardly set the world alight in his time here and a lot of of people on this forum have been questioning his ability over the last few seasons. The Bulls could be included in that given Crookes never seems to have been given much more than a 1 year deal at a time since breaking into the first team.

| Of the players that have left so far, Ben Jeffries is the biggest loss IMO. Crookes looked promising this season outside Lulia before he was injured but if we can keep Ainscough and Kear then we can cope with the loss of Crookes. That said, i'll bet £5 he scores against us next season.

| Wingers are very much flavour of the month, more so than any other position. Crookes is no great loss in my opinion, wingers come and go all the time, only the best have the ability to perform season after season.

| To be fair to the bloke out of the 4 years he has been here, only in 2012 did he get double figures in apperences and even then it was only 13 Appearences. Not given a proper chance. Gutted to see him go

Been injured a lot hasn't he? Loads of talent, pace etc but not convinced he's quite sturdy enough.
Do we get a fee, or did we not offer him a contract, or is it just part and parcel of the general situation of this year?

| A shame, but I think we'll be praising whoever plays outside Lulia next year, too.

no fee as ooc, this deal was done at the start of this season as he was told he could look for another club.

| Kinda agree with most of this! I was a bit of a critic of him over the last few years but he has made some good performances this year and shown he is a good finisher with lots of pace!
Not irreplaceable though but i reckon he could do well at Hull lets hope we get Kear and Ainy both signed up now!

| Crookes owes a lot to the service he got from Lulia this season. I'm not knocking his finishing, because some of the tries he scored needed great hands and a smart finish, but I can't remember any of his tries being scored through individual play. Almost all of them were served on a plate for him by Keith's brilliance. Hull's centres aren't a patch on Lulia at the minute so it will be interesting to see how Jason goes for them.
Hopefully Kear plays outside Lulia next season and can keep free of injuries.

| Crookes frustrated me during every game he played. Alright, he may have scored a couple of tries, but most were as a result of them served on a plate (a couple were pretty good finishes mind you).
The one thing that irritated me the most about this guy was his inability to challenge for the ball in the air (especially in attack). Every time a bomb went up, he gave away a penalty for tackling the man in the air. I may be wrong, but i almost think this was the outcome every time he was put in this situation!
I don't think he will be a regular in the Hull squad, IMO.

| He will improve loads as all bulls players seem to do when they leave the club, not having a dig but hasn't anyone noticed that
Crookes made ainscough look like a amateur player IMO

Can't say I share the same view. I'd be happy to see Ainscough wearing RA&B next year.

| Agree with most on here. Disappointing to see him go as it's been his best season at the club but he's not really shown himself to be indispensable and as for next season, any winger playing outside Keith Lulia automatically looks a better player, so it's hardly a critical loss.

Agreed, Ainscough is the type of player i want to see playing for us. His defence may not be all that but he gives us alot in attack and doesnt shy away from putting a good shift in every game.
