Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller.": |

Rugby League historian and life long Bradford Northern fan, Trevor Delaney, has just had his fifth book published. It's called "Come on Northern" and covers the fall and rise of the club from 1954 to 1965. Trevor has researched every game and every crucial meeting in those years and details the work of two men of vision, former Odsal legends Trevor Foster and Joe Phillips.
It is published by London League Publications, ( www.llpshop.co.uk), has a foreword by Northern legend Len Hayley (1951 to 1964), sells at £13-95 and is now available at most good book shops and is also on Kindle.

Beer is the root of all my problems, ironically it solves them too Homer
Simpson that is: |
|
| Just went on the link, it looks a good read. The cover is very evocative for people of a certain age, it`s a replica of the pre 64 Northern program. I used to save them and had many, I now wish I had not thrown them away, not my idea to, it was her indoors`s idea.

| Looks interesting, but unfortunately the London League website doesn't give much information to make me decide whether it's worth the price. For example, how many pages? Hardback or softback? Number of illustrations, etc. Can the poster advise please? Thanks.

| The book has 200 pages, 40 photographs, softback and and if you click on the image on the LLP website, you will see nine lines of information about the content. Amazon also say that at the moment it is unavailable, but that is only because it has just left the printers.
