| How exactly does this work following administration? (on the basis we can avoid liquidation)
I believe the RFL have increased the sanction from 4 points to 6 for going into admin this year but didn't Wakefield have there points taken off the following season? starting the next season on -4?
The RFL have stated that they will help where they can, surely by allowing us to take the hit next year would be reasonable. Would mean we still have a fighting chance of remaining in a play-off spot this year.

| Would rather lose it this year to be honest, at least it would be a fresh start in 2013 if we make it.

I take your point but i believe given what the players and coaching team have had to cope with and how they are reacting on the field i think it would be a crying shame if we get dumped out of the top 8 now due to points deduction.
If we can keep this squad together for the remainder of this season and take the hit next year i really believe we can do some damage in the play-offs. Especially when we get a few back such as Koppy, Kear, Crookes, Donno and maybe even Diskin for the run in.
This is all won't matter if we can't survive of course..

| I would rather the points came off next year, potentially making the playoffs would keep spirits running high when we need it and any extra revenue from a play off game/games would come in very handy right now.

| I'd rather the deduction was applied in ten years time, when we have strong team who will probably top the table with a lot to spare.
Unfortunately the deduction is a penalty for going into administration so you can't pick and choose when it is applied. Wakefield went into admin last February so they got their penalty at the start of the season, it wasn't held over to the start of a new season.

| would much rather get it next season, we have a strong chance of making the play-offs this year and if we get points deducted this year, think it will lower morale of the squad.

To be honest the players don't deserve it at all, no matter what the time. As Asim says though, it is a penalty and we don't get the option of when. As someone said of Friday night you could think of that unexpected win as getting a couple of those deducted points back.

| Wakefield went into admin about 3 weeks before the season started and so they had it deducted that season.
The points deduction is a maximum of 6 but can be reduced depending on the level of debt taken back on by the new company, hence why both Wakey and Crusaders got 4.

| The financial problems have already over shadowed what has been a much improved year on the field. The last thing we want is a hangover from that in 2013 IMO. Take the punishment now and then if we get someone willing to buy the club, we can at least start looking to the future.

| Yet again the rfl have cocked it up again keighley got imposed with a 9 point deduction for entering administration and had to take it the following season which meant relegation again. iam sorry but this is why our rugby league is far behind times with the likes of australia every club knows the rules and regulations, here its just well.. we'll give wakefield -4, crusaders -4, Whitehaven -9 keighley -9 who knows maybe bradford -2 it should be the SAME in every division. No matter what the teams history is.

More points per match are at stake in the championship. 9 points there = 3 matches = 6 points in SL.

Keighley went into administration three months after the season had ended, in December 2009, you can't seriously think the penalty should have been applied to the season that had finished? What would be the point of that?
The reason there is a penalty attached to going into administration is to deter teams from spending money they don't have, and thus gaining an advantage over teams who live within their means.

| All iam saying is its one rule for and one rule for another, make it all the same then its clear for all to yes super league may be completly different to the championship and champ 1 and i know it is ive watched it long enough, but theres teams in championship that would give some of the lower tier in super league a pretty good game i think, I dont why super league has to be seen as different sport. If i had the responsibility at red hall i would scrap the licence its crap totally spoilt it for me theres no excitement of promotion and heart ache of relegation not that anybody wants it but maybe that why attendance are dwindling away cause to a degree theres nowt to play for. I appreciate your going through some tough times and are worried, but iam sure you'll get your way in the end you always do!.

| If we get 4 points deducted we'd be two points behind 8th place Hull KR, and they still have to come to Odsal
To be honest, I'd take that at this stage
