With the Bulls being heavily linked to Roy Asotasi in the past and South Sydney looking to offload him and several superleague clubs looking to agian offer him terms
What do people think If he did sign for Bradford.
It would mean the end of Sammut & Manukafoa.
I would like to See roy there for a few years but he has been injoured for a long time. Im sure Sam Burgess would be able to point him towards Odsal and the fact we have been after him for 3 years might play in the balance too.
South Sydney officials may be denying it but Roy Asotasi's future at the club is anything but secure. The former ''solo'' skipper and Bulldogs prop has suffered a horrendous run of injuries since joining the club in 2007 and while he is under contract for 2013, English Super League clubs are circling. A number of clubs have expressed interest in signing the former Kiwi international, who hopes to be back on the field if South Sydney make the finals after suffering a ruptured pectoral muscle. The 30-year-old has missed close to two full seasons of NRL due to injury and has struggled to find the form that inspired the side to the finals in 2007. With big-dollar back-rower Dave Taylor leaving the club at year's end and money still in the cap after the departure of Chris Sandow, Souths will have plenty of room to move in 2013 to sign marquee players if they let Asotasi go.

| Agree with above.
Given our luck with overseas signings recently if its the prop we go for over Sammut then Manu should be retained.

| Well, for me, it's a no brainer. We already have Manny, who is a fine prospect, playing well and improving by the week, and could become a Bulls legend if he stays a while.
OTOH there's the permanent and highly expenisve crock Asotasi, who has done nothing for years, and is the wrong side of 30, who would want five times the money that Manu does, plus we'd have to pay the various expense and costs involved, plus we lose both Manu and Sammut.
Clearly, then, we must sign Asotasi at any cost. It's the only barking thing to do if we are serious about taking the title of Super League's Ultimate Basket Case.

| Why on earth would we benefit from signing him? Keep Nas if possible - he's looking the business.
I'd only consider signing some over-the-hill marquee player if that brought a shedload of external money into the club. And, other than Sir Steve Menzies, our recent track record in recruiting marquee players is not that encouraging?

| No thanks. I think Manuokafoa has performed well for us and will be commanding a fair bit less than Asotasi in wages. It would be pretty daft to bring someone else in and take a gamble on him not settling in this country (see Orford/McKinnon).
