How is he getting on at your place, do you think we may see him back in a Swinton shirt this season?

Out injured at the moment but has improved game on game when he's played.

Always gives 100% but still looks a little out of his depth.

Certainly a good rotating player. Offers his uncharacteristic never say die attitude and will never give less than 100%.

For sure he won't get game time against the big heavy weights, but he's pretty effective against the Castleford's, Wakefield's and Leeds.

Decent enough squad player. Would be getting plenty game time if he himself hadn't fallen foul of the Odsal Curse i.e. medium to long term injury.

Its a lot different at Championship against people like Jim Gannon and Neil Cherryholme than against Adrian Morley, Jamie Peacock and Manase Manuokafoa

Feel for crossely as he was pushed out for burgess. I'd have bet Steve would have progressed at the same rate as burgess but burgess got the nod because of his sir name. No way should bulls have signed Joseph after mutually agreeing a release for crossely. Madness! Hope to see crossely back in super league next season

Not sure what your obsession with Crossley is.

He was Ok in the U20s and maybe, in a year or two he might have improved, lot's of players are 'late developers' after all, but he never gave me the impression he was improving so much that he would make an impression in the elite competition. Burgess "got the nod" because when he was put in the first team he raised his game (and is [istill[/i doing so, btw) unfortunately Crossley didn't. The coaches can't leave every young player in the hope that they'll come through, some have to move on so the new kids can enter the academy. It's an unfortunate fact of life, but that's just how things are. Hopefully Steve will get a chance elsewhere and show he's got what it takes.

Tbh there are better prospects coming up the ranks, Crossley was like a home grown journeyman imho. Never was going to make an impact like Kopczak, Burgess, Bateman and Whitehead did. But could have been a solid choice and would have kept him over Sibbit.

Crossley was anonymous against Keighley so, no disrespect to them, was always going to struggle at SL level.
