Hopefully the next incumbent won't agree to advance clubs money when they've got themselves in a mess, overlook financial holes when it comes to licensing applications and agree to take on leases to further help such clubs when they can't pay those advances back.

Lewis has taken the game to new levels. His vision of international expansion has worked, and RL is more attractive than it ever was.

Just because clubs didn't know how to spend money, was that his fault?

I've always understood it. I think it says far more about Rugby League fans than it does about him though.

Oh dear. I think he has quietly done great things to keep RFL above water. I've no doubt he will miss the jolly banter dressed up as bigoted abuse. To get the 2 roles he will hold shows what a talent he must have. Come back Dave Oxley. Or Chris Caisley.

Yeah i like Mr Lewis. He sounds like a top bloke and a rugby league FAN at heart.

It probably is time to move on though as he has done alot for us and given us the keys to a sustainable future for Rugby League both at club and International level.

I will miss him

The pity is, he isn't taking Stuart Cummings with him!
