| What a game from the Bulls.
Kearney was quality at the back. Whitehead was quality in attack and defence. Jeffries kicking was lethal.
But the person who impressed me a lot was Bateman. Always kept going broke the line a few times but when Smith started he was in their sorting it out

Bateman impressed me too, and whatmade it an even better effort was that he was backing up after playing in the unders two days ago!!!

| A lot of much improved performances, Hargreaves looked a lot better and Bateman certainly deserved a try for all his meters and effort. After the poor start to second half heads could of easily dropped, but they got stuck in and showed some fight, something I think we've all been asking for. Well done the lads.

| What was Tim Smiths problem on the 65th minute - that grapple was attrocious he could of potentially snapped Jeffries neck the falming idiot !!!

| Whitehead got MoM mainly for his hat-trick I think.
TBH, I'd have given it to Jeffries because he was the guy for pretty much everything we did well tonight.
Glad to see Bateman back in the side. I was worried we were going to lose him for a long period when he went off injured in round 1. He was looking good in that game and looked good again tonight.
Poor discipline from both sides. However, I'd say that the ref did not have a good game and was inconsistent for both sides and tbh I think Wakey were lucky to avoid getting a player sin-binned in the 2nd half during that period where Bradford got 4 or 5 penalties back to back. I thought Tim Smith? was a candidate for the bin following that grapple on Jeffries.
A response was needed following the humiliation last weekend and we did get it, but there's still a number of things the Bulls need to improve on.
There are 2 big D's that need addressing before the Warrington game: Discipline and Defence. Repeating the performance of either from tonight next week will end up with Wire giving us a stomping.

| Strange game - after the first half, i wasn't that confident. I thought Wakey looked better going forward and the Bulls were just hanging on. If Whitehead didn't score the intercept, i wonder how we would have done after the break.
2nd half was a massive improvement, the forward pack really stood up. Scruton, and Joseph, did well and Tom B did quite a bit of tackling. Koppy was Koppy but out of the forwards though, Hargreaves was immense. Didn't take a backward step and can't remember him missing a tackle.
Jefferies and Sammut looked pretty good, with the exception of Sammut's defence. Goes too high, and gets stomped on.
Although it was a good win, without Jefferies kicking, we may have been on the losing side. Personally, i would have liked to see the Bulls attack with more flair. but a wins a win.
I still think we need to go up a couple of extra gears to compete with Warrington next week.
Out of the fixtures we have played, we have done what most Bulls fans would have predicted. Lets hope we can give Warrington more of a game that we gave Wigan.

| John Bateman was class tonight, brilliant in defence and attack, Phil Clarke compared him to a young Andy Farrell. Jeffries, Whitehead, and Hargreaves were also brilliant, although i dont think we played our best rugby tonight, we were still sloppy in patches, but overall a good win, just hope we put in a performance against Warrington, even if we dont get the result.

| Bradford were far better than Wakefield but I wouldn't crack open the champagne just yet - your defensive structure and technique was woeful across the park. Even once the game was won, the inability to even lay a hand on Mathers for his try was appalling.

Yeah we still have a lot of work to do, defense was disgraceful at times tonight. Still early days though and with so many first teamers out we should get better.

| Alot better and more organised in attack (thanks Ben!). Lots more work in defence needed though.
Jeffries proved me wrong, and I imagine alot of others. I hope he can keep this organising and kicking form up.
The forwards were alot better in the second half. Heath and Jeffries gave the lads a right talking to behind the sticks.
Hargreaves showed why we signed him, and Bateman & Whitehead showed us our academy is doing okay.
