| I like going to Dewsbury. Super ground and great local fans. Fear I'll struggle to make it, but there's time yet.

| Good stuff, hopefully game will be on. Unfortunatly I will not be there. Would have put Pryce instead of Platt but I think Pryce will still be injured for the Dewsbury game.

| James Child? Already? The season has not even started and it ruined already.

| I'd imagine that the squad being put out will be pretty much what was going to be facing Featherstone, given that game was postponed and we're running out of friendlies for the first team

| forecast for the weekend from the met office:
UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Jan 2012 to Monday 30 Jan 2012:
Unsettled, cold and rather windy through Saturday with scattered blustery showers, these wintry over high ground across the northern half of the UK. Turning cloudy and damp Saturday night into Sunday before further unsettled conditions return into the new working week and beyond. Most parts will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, but more especially across the north and west of the UK. Showers are also likely to be wintry at times over northern hills. Spells of more persistent rain are also likely in the north and west, spreading southeastwards with time. Temperatures will mainly be near average, but rather cold at times in the north. Overnight frosts are likely in quieter interludes. Often windy too, with gales possible at times in the northwest.
Updated: 1207 on Mon 16 Jan 2012
so it could be just about anything than the current persistent cold weather that would necessitate covers. So I think this one could be on, but cold wet windy weather that will create a load of handling mistakes. Just right for Gale no pun intended to get his kicking game going.

I would seek solace in the West Riding Refreshment Rooms on Dewsbury station, one of the best pubs on the planet. It's also the best place if the weather looks threatening.

How do you get to the station? Does your driver drop you there?

Don't be stupid.
He would never be seen associating with the proles in such a place.
His private train pulls in there, and the butler is despatched to collect the refreshments.

In my experience I've found it to be excellent for sheltering from the sun too, bloody weather, just can't trust it...

| Being in there normally results in the phrase “it doesn’t matter I’ll get the next one” being used at least 3 times on my way back to Manchester.
Very good pub, improved by being able to book the TV in advance for Bulls games when you can’t get to the game.
