2 years ago yeah. The Giants fans proper creamed their load when they signed him after everybody else said no we're not interested.

if thats all thats available then im afraid unless the 4 already announced signings click into gear then next year could be very much the same as this. Looking at that list above i cant see anybody really adding more to the team than any present squad member

We need a non fed quota spot to sign him which we don't have unless sammut gets exemption.

The list of players OOC looks pretty grim.

I'd only be interested in signing Karl Pryce out of that lot.

That was (at best) my thought.

And remember that an antipodean is costing around twice what one did only about three years ago, because of a combination of forex rates, tax rule tightening and the impending big increase in the NRL cap.

Yet (obviously) people want the club to make some "big name" signings. It follows that to do that for UK players means paying big transfer fees - you need a sugar daddy to pay thiose, though, and we don't have one - and for antipodeans it means paying big big money. And we seem to have a major lack of independent third parties in Bradford willing to chip in with a big image rights deal.

Instead of focussing on recruiting OOC players, the only way out of the downward spiral is to start promoting youngsters to the first team.

Bateman, Oblison, Crookes, Burgess and Donaldson have looked okay and I think we need to start building teams out of what is in the reserves.

As the u20's have been as bad as the first team, I think the club need to seriously look at how they scout young talent.

We need to be thinking about the next 5-10 years and start investing in the correct youth players. Another challenge would be how to keep hold of 'said' youth.

What about Fozzard?

Certainly not backward in coming forward.

Something we've been missing IMO.

I thought we had retained Walker for 2012?

a lot of people calling for a bit of nastyness in pack- luaki and fozzard as well as raguin but he is off to union.
potential wise kear,armstrong and gigot catch my eye. gigot has pace vision,flaira good player for future and versatile but fell out with robinson earlier in season, bobbie goulding french coach rates him but he needs some polishing.

id also like to point out that the three most recent names mentioned are in contrscts bailey,hindmarsh,smith so this may not be all that is available not that i think there is any weight to the above three just as a point.

A deal is supposed to have been offered. But there's no announcement yet if it's been accepted.
