Having watched Catalans on Sky a fair bit recently how great would it have been if we still had Menzies and Henderson.

Seems both Bradford and Wakefield ex players are shining at Cats - Menzies, Henderson, Blanch and Millard.

It's not so much that we didn't want to keep Henderson, it was more that his girlfriend hated living in Bradford and wanted to move back down under.

Catalans have been "lucky" shall we say.

Blanch signed for them off the back of a season long knee injury while at Wakefield. He could quite easily have turned out to be a Chev Walker and picked up further knocks.

Henderson was a good signing, but there was always the chance he might want to up sticks and return to Aus again.

Menzies could have gone "over the hill" quite easily and become less effective.

Millard they took the opportunity that was presented to them and signed him from Wakey when they were going belly up. He wasn't pulling up trees, and to be honest, he just looks solid.

Dureau has been a super signing though hasn't he? Just the sort of player we need. I bet he came cheap too.

Agree, he's been superb. Had we got him instead of Herbert I wonder how much better we may have been. I am not knocking Herbert either, but I do believe Dureau is top drawer.

Dureau has the advantage of playing behind a pack that is much better than ours but he does look very good indeed. What a find he's been.

just shows u what a good manager can do when he gets hold of a average player and turns them into a force

Dureau is just the kind of signing we used to pull out of the bag from Oz! Don't know whats happened to our scouting down under, but we haven't pulled off a really good signing of a relatively unknown player for some time now - Maybe Lulia is the start of good things on that front, no pressure
