I thought he had a shockingly good game tonight letting it flow early on by compensating for the weather/heavy conditions underfoot.

He caught Leeds fair and square in the offisde/not square department and even spotted that most rarest of Rugby League occurrences "Leeds passing the ball forward".

I do feel that Jamie Jones Buchanan's try should never have been given as was the case for Olivier Elima's first but you can't really fault the referee when two/three games a week are played under different rules depending on where the Sky cameras are.

So well done Mr Ganson on a fine display with the whistle and our firsdt win under you at Headingley since 2004

Hes been best ref this year by a mile to be honest. A lot of refs this year are home bankers.

Ref in good game when Bulls win shock. I did laugh out loud when leaving the Carnegie though when a Leeds fan proclaimed to everyone that Bulls hadn't beaten Leeds, Ganson had.

TBH, he didn't have a bad game. But I wouldn't hold last nights performance up as a reffing master class.

After the first Bradford try, which I admit I couldn't full see, but did look a little questionable (but no more so than Yeaman's last week), Ganson did seem to favour Leeds in any 50/50 call for the rest of the half. But he seemed inconsistent regarding laying on in tackle. Bradford clear the ruck a little slow on one tackle and it's a penalty, Leeds lay on top of the guy for 2 minutes and it's fine.

I can understand why that Leeds fan proclaiming that Ganson beat Leeds as most fans at Headingley are just not used to the ref calling them on their rule breaking.

You are kidding right? Ganson was a complete joke in that second half. Apart from giving you everything including border line forward passes which incidently he missed every one of Diskins passes that were at least a yard forward every time he passed the ball.
Credit where credits due he messed up a try for each of us in the first half and bottled a blatant head high tackle by that man Diskin again in the second half.
You were the better of two pish poor teams tonight and if we had a coach who could select a team and get us to play with some structure we would /should have beaten you easy.
But sadly we did not have any idea how to break you down which is no shock to me these days.

I could'nt get to the game last night so listened ob BCB The quote of the night from one of the comentators was " If Steve Ganson is a super league ref then I'm the Arch Bishop of Canterbury" a clasic quote and it says it all about the St Helens whistle blower. But he's still better than that stupid Child.

Couldn't make it last night, but listened to BCB radio and they said he was shocking. Elima's try wasn't and they said he got a lot wrong. It did seem to be the usualy case of, i'll give a team 3 or 4 penalties in a row, then give the other team 3 -4 penalties in a row.

That's more accurate. Some of his decisions for Leeds in the first half were distinctly bemusing but Leeds didn't take advantage (I don't believe they should have kicked the penalties but should have used the possession to score more tries). Then in the second half Leeds made the major strategic error of getting pi[is[/ised at him and expressing it to him. Most of the penalties subsequent to that were IMO neither fair nor balanced but that's the nature of Ganson and Leeds should have known better. It's no way to referee though.
