Hi All, I'm putting together an article on players who we released and/or left us at the end of last season and I'd like to get Bradford fans' thoughts on how Chev Walker has fared this year, prior to his injury. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

showed early promise then tailed off would probably be fair assessment. Don't think he'll be offered a new deal at end of year.

If we could keep him inury free I'd give him an extra year. But I fear that after we let Morrison go for similar reasons and with Chev being in the same boat I tend to agree with you.

Inuries haven taken their toll with Chevron. Let him go for mine. Not the player he once was.

I like Chev and would like to see him in a bulls next year depending on the wage we wants! he runs the ball very hard and can play both centre and second row at good standard. Its one of those where if we let him go he will stay injury free next year and be very good!

If he returns before the end of the season and puts in a couple of decent performances then he could get a new deal.

Atm I don't think he will. Feel sorry for him as he seems a nice guy who really wanted to do well for us. Unfortunately injuries have been bad for him, and he wasn't performing well before imo.

Expecting him to be playing near the standard he has shown in the past after 18 months out is unrealistic. Injuries haven't helped him achieve any level of performance despite a few bright spots. I hope he does regain fitness and is at least able to show if he can perform, before the end of the season. I'd be annoyed if he spent the year with us regaining fitness and then went and showed something like his ability at another club next year.

id give him another year, is sibbit out of contract this year? if so id get rid of sibbit play walker in the pack and hopefully sign a half decent centre??

To be honest, I think it's been difficult to judge Chev. When he has played, there have been times when he looked shaky defensively. But it's hard to tell if that was his own fault or if it was just the general crap defence of the team.

Would be easier to judge his form and current ability if he was playing when the whole side was on a good run of form I feel.
