| Would be a surprise as it would leave us with L'Estrange, Godwin and Diskin - all of whom would like to be "starting" hookers.
Only way it may work would be if L'Estrange moved to scrum half for a season as Orford leaves. We maybe then get an overseas player in a different position as part of any Orford deal?

| If it is true that Diskin will be in RAB next season, is it likely that HL will be converted into a full-time half back? What makes me think this is that it is unlikely that Diskin will have asked to cut short his current deal with the Rhinos, where he is the interchange hooker, for a similar role at the Bulls (unless the money is significantly better!). And, with Wagga and O'Brien (is that his name) covering hooker as well, it would seem strange (or even L'Estrange ) to have gone for a hooker when the Bulls so dearly need a half-back!

Le Estrange to scrum half? please no!
It looks to me that Godwin's days in the first team will be numbered..

| Hopefully Leeds know what they are doing. But definitely a good signing for Bradford.

| strange one if true. hope it doesnt mean l'estrange to scrum half as imo he wasnt perticularly effective there and looked much more natural at hooker.wonder if this means godwin leaving maybe in a swap deal for a half? or maybe wagga to scrum half, am I imagining it or did he start out as a half in cas academy?.

| Too early to say with 3 more to come in apparently.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Wagga move on. I'd expect Diskin to be starting hooker with L'Strange coming off the bench as he did for Manly.
There's no doubt Diskin's a good hooker. He and Eastwood were key to the Loiners win at Odsal this season. Diskin at dummy half had us in all sorts of trouble that day.
As for the halves I can't see us converting either of L'Strange or Godwin to play there.

Worth a try I suppose. Partnered with another quality signing perhaps?
Happy with the Diskin move if it's confirmed.

I'd probably go the other way and start with l'estrange with diskin off bench. But thats purely because I think l'estrange is the better player although not by a massive margin. think either option could work.
regarding wagga or l'estrange moving into halves. If we arent going to go down that route then I cant see us retaining all 3 hookers. Whilst wagga isnt the best he'd certainly get a hooking berth at SL level. Is there another SL club with hooking problems and a decent half we could be looking at a swap deal with?

Hmm you never know though. He only got a 1 year deal from us and Bradford have offered him 3 years. He's getting to the back end of his career now so he my be enticed b the longer deal. I also wonder with McShane and the other young kid we have in the wings whether Leeds would actually be retaining him after 2011. Had he had a big injury this season that could have been a bitch for him to get a contract then

| but good luck to him eh bewildered.....
no way would he get three years with the rhinos and he needed to think about his family and all that......he would have left us at the end of 2011 unless he had one hell of a season.....
he has not impressed other than a couple of games this year but I think his game will pick up with the new challenge.....

| Seems a strange one - but perhaps hooker is the new Full Back
It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I wonder whether Godwin is being lined up to be the makeweight in a deal to bring in a quality half back. I hope so, because three first choice hookers and no scrum half seems a slightly odd notion ...
