Finaly a league game on xbox 360 and ps3 but imo it looks no better than rugby league 2 on ps2'"
Imagine my shock horror on finding out that my impatient friend couldn't wait any longer and had this imported.
After playing for a good two hours this morning . . . . . . . .
WOW this is amazing.
Everything from the enhanced player likeness to crowd chants (unfortunately I've yet to play at Knowsley Road so can't confirm if the crowd shouts forward or calls there referee a ******* ).
The main notable improvement is that the kicking game has improved tenfold, with the added variety of kicking options that give you, and also your opponents that killer edge and for the Stevo fans Rugby League Live does have the chip kick option which when used works beautifully (a little chip over the defensive line and the regather to score).
The AI is the other notable improvement in that by playing games on the medium and hard settings you really do feel that your team is in a arm wrestle to get the points.
In the easy mode you'll still struggle to find those gaps but I would advise anyone when they finally get hold of this amazing game to start off at medium and learn the hard way, make your players work had to create those gaps for the break through.
The AI controlled opposition really does make life hard for you when trying to get out of your own half and when attacking the try line adding to the realistic experience of playing this game.
The video referee has improved beyond recognition, with it making frequent appearances than the previous games and now checking for on-side kicks and those all important groundings of which there are at least seven different types of grounding for tries (in the previous games we just had two for the video referee calls).
There is much more to add but I'll need to play for longer than I have done.
I've yet to try out the online play as my mate isn't hooked up, but I hope that come the end of November if we get enough people we can start a TRL season of sorts.
I would love to play Kenny a game on this, him being Castleford, myself Bradford
So then out of ten this gets twenty because it surpasses the previous four games by offering IMO the ultimate realistic Rugby League experience.
Now cue the usual rabble saying it's awful and no improvement on the previous one
