Not that many to choose from sadly. You can pick up to three, call it an experiment in alternative voting. Oldies might remember one from the early eighties I think that's not up there but I'm afraid that's before my time.
As much as knocking Saints out of the playoffs was great, there was an air of expectancy about it. Saints had hit a bad injury crisis and the Bulls were at full strength with arguable the best side Super league has seen. It was a lot closer than i expected, though remember the wild celebrations of Hape's try in the corner. The Bulls fans even clapped the Saints off. Still remember Wellens looking over and clapping to us with an appreciative nod.
Anyway.. Last year was my favourite.. We were given no chance.. A poor turnout from the Bulls it had to said turned up.. Somehow we won after being down by 16 points. Was just one of those great moments where it pays off being loyal. Easily the highlight of Macca's reign.
Whichever season it was where we went on that incredible unbeaten run once we got Shontayne back from injury. I think that might be the same season we won from third place.
Either way I remember Hape sealing the win at KR by skinning the incredible Mr Lyon like he wasn't even there. Those were the days.
There's also a match where it was pretty much already known that Leon was on his way to Saints the following season. He was playing at FB for us that match and quite near the end of the game he broke through the Saints' defence and went the length of the field, rounding Wellens on the way there. I think the Saints fans gave him a better round of applause for it than we did!
I can remember barely being able to stand while Sculthorpe took that conversion right at the end which would have levelled the scores. I was literally hanging off the barrier as my legs didn't want to work. They started to work when he missed it!
Can also remember being amazed that it being so late in the game with a kick that could change the outcome, and there were 4 Saints supporters actually leaving as he was lining up the kick. How the hell anyone could leave at that point in a game, I will never get.
