| To everyone who went to Craven Park today.
It's times like this when we must all stick together and not as so many of the so called supporters have over the past four years, leave and desert the side.
I think it's a testament to have seen so many Bulls supporters there given that we haven't won since Friday 14th May and that 29-10 victory over Wakefield at Belle Vue.
Not many Super League sides would have taken the 250 or so supporters that we took today after no win ten weeks.
For those of us that got there in time for the Academy game, then they'll know where I'm coming from in saying that McNamara's legacy is there for all to see.
Jesus what a game, Hull Kingston Rovers going out to an early 16-0 lead before we score 22 points on the bounce, before yet more drama and a Rovers try on the half time whistle to take the scores at the break 22-22.
Then cue the Bradford masterclass and in particular a stunning 80 minutes from Southernwood who not only was kicking from the sidelines but his general kicking in play and what I can describe as superb vision and leadershp getting the ball moving.
In the end we had too much for the Robins as we ran out winners by 48 points to 28 in a real thriller.
I took loads of photos so will post them all tomorrow, as I've just got back from the game.
People maybe wondering why I'm not despondent or dejected, but being negative in these times of hardship isn't doing me or the club any favours.
See you all at Odsal next Sunday.

| While I'm still around what is up with the pa bloke at Craven Park, where we were sat up in the Gods all we got after every try of which there were quite a few was a loud booming TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY .
It reminded me of that bloke who does it for the cabbage kickers going GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL.

| Couldn't find the game thread so I'll add this in here.
I must say those two killer passes for the two early Rovers scores killed us right off and what's very disheartening is that Menzies knew what was going to happen as was trying to get Nero to push further out, which he didn't and in the end it cruelly left young Finigan exposed on the left wing.

Any reason this lad isn't getting a go in the first team? surely do no worse than what is there.
Poor defence is what cost us today. Addy's attempts on Newton for his two tries were poor. Worrincy and Menzies effort on Peter Fox from the tap 20 was amatuer at best. Plenty of other occasions too.

That mate is the million pound question.
Paul Medley was sat near us at the back of the stand and I was itching to put this point forward to him.

| As much potential as CS may have, he is a long way short of being physically ready to be playing SL IMO.
If a lad as big as Addy was brushed aside by Newton(Shoddy attempts as well though) then a slight lad like CS wouldnt really stand a chance IMHO.
I'm all for giving youngsters a try and everything but theyve got to have something physically about themselves.

Tackling at that size is about technique & commitment. Something Halley lacked on a couple of occasions on the big men, which is a reason he will never be a SL FB. SHame, because his commitment & desire in attack were faultless. Southernwood at SH should never be exposed one-to-one as last line of defence like Halley.

| The Academy side are a reason to be optimistic about the future. Though I noticed Medders took them away at half time from watching another abject display by the First team, probably doesn't want their bad form and attitude to rub off!
I did ask the St Johns Ambulance guys if they could go into the dressing room and fix a broken team, but even that is beyond their remit!

I agree, but if you havent got any weight behind you then you're still going to be bumped off. It's inevitable that players are going to face one V one situations at some point so whilst its important to have the technique and commitment but also the pyhsicality to be able to make your tackle count.

Given how poor our defence is, i don't think it really matters if someone comes in and makes mistakes. Is he smaller than Burrow when he first burst onto the scene? They must be plenty of players of similar stature playing in SL. If you a small it's all about techinque.
Was i the only one annoyed at Lee Sthilarie's post match comments? It was a pretty straight forward win for HKR and he doesn't think any player deserves criticism. It all seemed a bit like.. Oh well we knew that was going to happen.

I've read the comments on Sporting Life and I don't really see it like that. He came across as though he was saying that the young players who have come in (by which I assume he is talking about Crossley, Addy, Wardle Finnigan etc) should not have to carry the can
In fact, you could take his comments as meaning that it is actually the more experienced players who [ishould[/i be carrying the can...

That's exactly how I read it. Kind of a "don't blame the young lads for any mistakes they made, the more experienced players should be doing far more than they are". I thought he was spot on to be honest, with the exception of one or two of the senior players, who clearly are putting in loads of effort.

Completely agree. Whilst maybe he shouldn't play the full 80 he could benefit from coming in for spells for the experience and he'll hopefully be a better player for it next season.
