| This just smacks of one rule for one and another rule for the RFL’s mates in Hull. If “The rules governing player eligibility in the Carnegie Challenge Cup clearly state that when a team is found to have fielded an ineligible player they will be disqualified from that year’s tournament why were Hull allowed to stay in the CC last year after fielding an ineligible player, a very poor show of double standards from the RFL, Shocking.  |

Not quite - when Hull "broke the rules", no such rules officially existed in terms of stating the punishment for fielding a player they shouldn't.
The RFL have brought the expulsion rule in because of the Hull debacle and Halifax are the first team to fall foul of it.

Year before last. They're next game was against us and they knocked us out on a wet Saturday (I think) Afternoon in front of about 150 fans.
They eventually reached the final but lost to Saints. They played Wakefield in the Semi Final at Doncaster IIRC. |

yeah I believe it was RFLfans it wa mentioned, there's a thread if you go hunting for it, it was a Halifax fan who spotted it but then 2 people emailed the RFL on the back if that, if the thread is correct. |

yeah it was a poster on Fax RLfans board. thread title is michael ostick. Was quite amusing saturday night watching all the posts screaming for mods to remove the thread. Think cat was too far out of bag at that stage, Plus a widnes fan posted and said he'd emailed the RFL re the thread. |
