| 3 attempts at goal last night. All kickable and we scored none. The penalty especially was a rubbish one.

We've missed a few though this year. I think that the elected goal kickers need t get some practise in because it will start losing us matches.

| It was just one of those days. It wouldn't surprise me if Orford hits over every attempt next week at the KC. We've seen him hit them over from the wing....
Kicks can win games bu I don't think it would have made much of a difference last night

| Orford kicked well against Wigan & Cas. Sykes did in pre-season. Donno is a good kicker aswell. We have options, I think it's best to just put it down as an off night.

Not got figures to hand but over his career I don't think Orford is any kind of Deacon on goal attempts. Either Orford or Sykes may turn out to be the best but, even though I understand, why after two poor attempts, they changed yesterday, I feel we would be better served by having a regular kicker and not switching about too much.

I agree, but there aren't many kickers who are on a Deacon/Pat Richards level. Orford is good, but not great, same goes for Sykes. I think when Donaldson has sealed a starting spot at loose (maybe next year) he should get it and we can have the same kicker for a few years!

See, I think it would have. Probably not to the final result. When Warrington were 20-odd to 8, it would have made a massive psychological difference if it was 22-14, and it might have kept them fighting for longer and maybe a more respectable final score, but it's a world away when it's 22-8 instead.

| At the time Orford had missed two kicks and Sykes had just scored a pretty good try and was having a good game. Also Sykes is a left footed kicker, possibly why he had a shot at goal.
I think it is important to have a reliable goal kicker though and perhaps we've been fortunate in recent years with people like HP and Deacon.

| Sykes even scuffed 1 of the goal line drop outs, but if i had to choose between 1 of the 2, i'd have sykes taking over goal kicking.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| It's a real shame. It would of been a different game with Bradford further infront.

| I don't feel confident when Sykes is kicking but Orford mis hit two last night but he's an ok kicker never be as good a kicker as Deacs.

Not many will be as good as Deacon, we've given up that luxury, but Sykes and Orford have both been regular kickers at some point in their career. I'd let Sykes have it, as he was probably in the top 5 kickers in the league when he was at Quins, and in pre-season his boot impressed me.

Maybe we could have got 20 up at half time?
