What is it with Bradford teams and shiite managers with Mc at the start of their name that last longer than they should do only because they were ex players of their respective teams?

Its a desperately sad situation and I can't help but feel that its now a matter of when, not if he gets sacked. I hope he leaves voluntarily because I'd hate for us to have to pull the trigger. With the funds he's had the club really should be faring better than Accrington who are struggling to keep afloat on crowds of 1,300.

Not a city fan but how can a team go from premier league to league 2 in the space of nine years, they also I believe had the biggest budget to spend on players in the whole of the league 2 last season yet didn't even make the play offs. Every time I go into Bradford city centre I look Valley Parade and think to myself how the hell is that a league 2 stadium theres defenalty something wrong with that club.

My dad was a real City fan and took me to many matches in my pre-adolscent years, before I started playing rugby when he practically disowned me sporting-wise. He never got over my preference for rugby, and I never got over his denial of my preference.
Anyway, City is an integral part of my upbringing and of Bradford's history itself. I follow their resuts and progress not as an attendant but as an entusiastic well wisher. OK this might seem to lack positive support in that I do not watch their matches any more, but I do want them to succeed and represent the city in the way they have in the higher leagues

You might want to take a look at some facts first.

Money is actually the main reason they have dropped so far. Once the club got relegated from the Premier League, they couldn't afford the wages they had already committed to (Benito Carbone being the most well publicised). That, along with other monetary factors, meant the club ended up doing into administration, from which they have never recovered.

Obviously there is more to it, but that's the basic truth of it. If you think Bradford City have a lot of money to spend, you are very very much mistaken.


On the original subject though, I think it may be time for a change of manager now. If McCall doesn't go soon, he's going to end up being remembered for the wrong reasons at Valley Parade, when he should be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever play for the club.
