Others/MINOTAUR.JPG Crude and slow Whino, your attack was no better than that of a clumsy child.:Others/MINOTAUR.JPG |

| I believe that Scruton maybe is more valuable coming off the bench as an impact prop, that way we can utilise his power.

agreed
I'd go as far as to say I'd prefer platt to start on sheriffes with sykes on bench/left out, purely to improve defense down that side. does anyone remember which is reardons preferred wing? seem to remember he used to play side sheriffe is on. assuming rikki could make the switch to the other side Id be tempted to pai rikki with nero and reardon with sykes/platt/crookes.
also think scruton whould get 8 shirt ahead of sculthorpe who has a bit to prove imo.

I feel starting Scruton is much better, he gets the players fired up with the big hits as he his more of an agressive player to get stuck into the teams early.

I suspect that would probably be our strongest backline. However I think well start with
1 halley
2 reardon
3 nero
4 sykes
5 sheriffe
6 kearney
7 orford
at least for a couple of games and see how it looks. I think halley is equally effective at FB or wing but after last season feel he deserves first crack at FB slot ( plus I always have it in back of my mind that hes a bit small for a winger and gets bundled into touch too easily). Sykes did look a lot more comfortable at SO it has to be said and that in turn clears the way for platt to go to spot where he looked pretty good at backend of last season. Difficult call for the coaches but it makes a nice change to be in a position where we actually have real options.
