Yeah like in the past you mean! Leeds have had 3 winners in 30-odd years which includes the very first one! The last one was Iestyn in 1998. Disko should have won it in 2004 but they gave it to some dude leaving for RU. BTW if a Leeds player was to be selected it should be Keef!  |

Don't think those are the sort of criteria they judge Man of Steel on, though? But otherwise I agree totally with your sentiments there. I've thought for years he's one of the most under-rated players in the competition, and as well as being a very decent guy seems he's a truly outstanding leader too. |

Adrian Vowles won it at Cas, so there is precedent for a non-fashionable player. Can't see JD doing it though, as much as I would like it. |

Morley or Peacock for me, toss a coin it's that close
Their tussle at headingley recently was the best that i have ever seen from 2 british forwards in SL, with both players going at it for 80 minutes against each other, it was brutal throughout
The respect was there for all to see at the final hooter when both players hugged each other

You maybe misunderstood my point? Not that an "unfashionable" player won't be allowed to win it, but that - as MOS, as defined - there are stronger candidates than JD IMO. If, though, the award was for "most influential and inspirational leadership, and not a bad player either" then he'd surely be a leading candidate? |
