Quote: "Kopczak, meanwhile, lost his ever-present record following some below-par displays, with Sam Burgess instead used as the Bulls’ third prop off the bench.
The England star delivered a real impact and McNamara said
That's unfair on Kopczak imo, who is one of the ones always putting the effort in.
Quote: "Jeffries is another who had played all games this season and has been the side’s most creative force in Super League XIV.
But the Aussie endured a nightmare against Rovers and Paul Sykes was shifted to number six for the Wigan clash.
'"
How can he criticize Jeffries when Deacon hasn't put in good performance all season? I know it says he has a niggle, but Deacon should be the one who's dropped.

| Seriously, how does Deacon escape the drop?
Burgess has hardly been great.

Burgess doesn't deserve dropping, but I agree he hasn't been great.
Deacon has been probably the worst player on the pitch on numerous occasions but still seems to be able to evade being dropped. Why???

| Of the 3 players dropped, yes they all weren't at the races against HKR, but then neither were the rest of the team. How Deacon maintains his guaranteed starting spot is beyond me. He offers nothing to the side any more. He's slow and predicable.
He's less a babyfaced assassin and more Old Yella and we all know what happend to him

| If he continues with this sort of dropping it will be Halley, Beaver, Scruton and Burgess who get dropped this week.

| Jeffries was named to play but was ruled out after failing a fitness test. Mcnamara is full of Sh*T. Jeffries has not trained all week and is still on one leg. Mcnamara should go drop himself.

| I agree with the sentiments on how he drops Jeffries for form but leaves Deacon in.
However along the same lines, how does Semi get dropped but not Sheriffe?

Think the answer may be in the fact that we mentioned they were all carrying injuries. Suspect he has taken the easy way out and the 'dropping' is little more than spin.

I kind of hope so. Because if he honestly thinks Semi needed dropping more than Sheriffe, and that Jeffries needed dropping more than Deacon, we really need another coach.

| Lets be honest. Koppy is a long way short of being a good prop and doesnt give any impact. If this spurs him on to better things then it can only be good for us.

Which team have you been watching?
Bar Lynchy, Koppy has been one of our best best props this season and has turned into a very decent player from his mediocre previous seasons.

Whilst he may have improved, very decent player he is not. For a man of his size he should be making way more ground than he does.

That's going a little far. Kopczak has been ok, but he's not been a patch on Lynch or Scruton and to a lesser extent, Burgess when he's been at prop.
The only thing I will say is that I don't expect him to be at that level right now. As long as he keeps improving and doing fairly well in the meantime, I'm ok with it. He's only young and only just got in the team regularly.
