| After yesterdays game, I must say the atmosphere was the worst I have known.
I know its gone a bit quiet over the last few seasons but the handful of Celtic fans that made the trip managed to make more noise than 7,000 bulls fans! And that was when the game first kicked off before we knew how poor a perfromance the boys were to put in.
Its almost as if people are expecting a 'well below par' performance and are defeated bfore a ball is kicked in anger!

| I think it's always going to be the case.
The priority for people isn't to sing. Lets face it we don't have any songs to sing anyway.
Most people that go, (I get the feeling) go to watch the game and discuss it as it unfolds. I know that's the case in our group of 10 or so.
That said I do shout, cheer, stand and clap if we look like scoring, again, as do most folk.

| An atmosphere at a game builds as the action unfolds. If it becomes obvious that players can't be ar$ed then it's ultimately going to have the same effect on the fans.

| It takes something to happen on the pitch to get the crowd going, yesterday there wasn't much to enthuse about until the side started playing with some urgency in the last 15mins. Funnily enough that was when the crowd started getting going too.
If the side come out looking like they're really up for it then the crowd will get behind them as was proved at home to Leeds.
At away games we tend to be more vocal as there is more of a siege mentality and people are stood together as one group. There are a lot fewer gloom mongers at away games too!

It's not the players fault then it's mine. I thought they should have tried to get all the spectators geed up, especially those that had turned out, payed hard earned money to get in and then stood there p1ssed wet through. I think next match we should all get down on our knees and beg the players forgiveness for being so sulky.

I take your point, but professional or not, getting booed v's cheered is going to have an effect on you.

The worrying thing is that people couldn't even be bothered to boo yesterday. The players must have wondered what was happening. They trudged off to silence whilst the people on the popular side stayed to applaud Celtic off.

Is it?
Or have people just accepted where we are for the short term.
Disappointing? Yes.
I do see the ship starting to be steered in the right direction though, if not immediately obvious with on field performances.
Will I stop going? No.
Which I think is the case for the majority there yesterday

| In my opinion i do see no point the band being in the main stand, they play around 2 times per game, if were losing which we have being doing alot this season they have no intrest what so ever, i thought the band was to motivate/get behind players, however they are non existent when we are in diffucult times, same old boring songs, something needs to be done before i begin to fall asleep at games. Rhinos, Wigan, Warrington for example do have bands and get behind there team and be loyal, booing and silence wont get us any were !

| I've said it before, but we need a group of fans to get together like the rlTwe12th Manrl at Middlesbrough FC if fans are that bothered about their being a lack of atmosphere in the ground. Improving the atmosphere in the ground is something that has to come from the fans themselves.

| I always thought that it might help if there was a specified singing section of ground on the pop side that was defined so that those most vocal supporters could stand together.

Agreed, the atmosphere comes from the fans, expecting the players to do all the work to get the crowd going is a bit too much. IMO the atmosphere will never improve significantly until we have a ground with a roof all the way round it. People will catch on to it eventually if theres a catchy tune and people looke like they're having fun. I used to rubbish the chances of anybody wanting to join in with the Dale Cavese at city, as it happens people seem more inclined to join in with it than the 'traditional' chants.
