Is he still recovering from his off season operation or what?

The guy was awesome for you lot and GB when he burst onto the scene but I thought most of last year he was pants (although I think he had a bad shoulder injury?) but this year from what I'm seen on TV and highlights and read in papers etc he seems to be doing nothing this season...yet.

If he doesn't recover from injury (if thats the reason) or buck his ideas up he could go the way of Fielden but much quicker

I think he looks to heavy and has lost the agility he had.

He`s been like that for quite a few weeks now don`t think he`s carrying a injury though, looks like the rest of them unfit and not interested.

He's being used as a battering ram.. whether they play him at prop or loose, our lack of any momentum going forward means he (and everyone else, including the wingers) can do nothing but charge forward to get out of our own half..
Try playing in a team where even just 3 or 4 are unmotivated.. you just cant stand out, you have too much leg work to do to cover the others..
Why are professional players unmotivated? Not sure they are.. they do all want to win, but every team has the coach giving the players that little bit extra, and in an intense contact game like league, if you dont have that little bit extra, the gap widens, you get found out..
Burgess, Morrison, Menzies, all the young players and others are now being done a disservice by our coach.

I dont think asking him to alternate between prop and LF is helping him. Andy Farrell could do that at his peak but its a lot to ask of a young player.

Burgess, like Koppa and others are victims of the current malaise affecting the Club caused by signings in the last 4 years that have not turned out well for the Club. That is not the fault of the current Head Coach or the C/man. What could be construed as fault is their persistence with players who have no pride in pulling on a Bulls shirt. Brave decisions have to be made which would probably see us in a worse position than we are in now. A clearout is needed, we must begin a future plan to bring us to a position to challenge for honours, a plan that will probably leave us, in the short term floundering in the bottom reaches of SL for a season or two "a la Wigan". but the Head Honcho's at Odsal seem to be scared of the reaction of the fans to such a radical approach but we must do it before relegation again becomes an issue. A plan needs to be formulated by the leadership and a meeting with the players and fans for backing and let the 'success now or else brigade' wallow in their bile.
