Couldn't possibly keep either of them on a decent wage. Neither have offered value for money in recent seasons, and was a big Langley fan. We need fresher and more dynamic bodies.

I wouldn't have kept Dijon. Walker is a crafter though. Will be a good man to come off the bench. He's still mobile enough, I imagine he will be on a fairy modest wage too.

So you know what their deals are? Langley was allegedly one of highest earners at club. No ones disputing he's a decent player and loyal to club. But we're operating on half sky money and have to get best value for money we can. If Langley can get a better deal than we were prepared to offer then good luck to him. But loose/2nd row is a position where we are relatively strong anyway with younger cheaper players coming through.

No. I don't know Langleys either, that's why I'm just trying to go on what we as fans can judge.

I don't know why operating on half money affects the 'value for money' if we have the cap available anyway. I think there are a lot of other factors which put Langers' value up for us aswell.

Maybe once we get into next season ill be able to look at it from a more balanced pov, but at the moment I'm annoyed and gutted to see him go.

Gutted to see Langers leave, I was still secretly hoping for him to sign on for another year but it seems pretty obvious to me what has happening with Langers and Platt.... Langers is a great player, hard worker, good defender and always gives his all but no matter what player it is if they price isn't right you just cant keep them.

We aren't in a position to through silly money at anyone and I think its pretty obvious a contract would have been signed for Langers if he would have been able to accept less money, he couldn't accept it so that's it really. I have always liked Langers and I wish him all the best and will still sing his song when he lines up for his next team

I don't think anyone can say Langers was a bad player or anything but he probably was on too much money for the club these days

I don`t see a great deal of difference between Langley and Donno, except Donno`s on probably a third to half Langer`s wage. To me it`s a no brainer.

I know from an excellent source that Platt and Langley were on very good money indeed and they were going to need to take a big cut to properly reflect their position in the squad.

Donno has already passed the ball more times this season than Langley has done in his entire career.

About ten years - that seems like one reasonable difference?
