I despair.

You couldn't wind up a clock
I'm not trying to wind anyone up, just my opinion after all, some clearly disagree and plenty also agree with my comments.

I would be intrigued to see Gale playing behind a dominant pack, or in a dominant team. His time at Donny, London & Bulls can't have presented that many opportunities, so I'm not sure what you base your evidence on. There is hardly a SL scrum half with that ability, probably only Brough & Burrow of the British halves would stand out on occasion.

| The thing I've noticed about Gale is when he gets close to the line, he looks as if he has no idea what he's going to do (and not in a good way) This has nothing to do with playing behind a beaten pack.
Time and time again against Leeds and Wire he chose the wrong pass or literally just flung it without looking. We'll see how he goes next few games.

I've not said Gale is crap, I have said he is an average player and I feel he is overrated. Just my opinion as I've said, although it appears you don't like opinions and you feel it necessary to resort to insults, poor ones at that.
As for Olbison I think he's a good player and will only improve, he had a poor game against Leeds but so did a number of our players.

We have seen enough of Gale in the many games he has played that he is a class act.'"
See my post above, you are obviously easily impressed.

Not at all. Regular visitors on here will be more than aware that I try to encourage debate rather than stifle it and that I am totally FOR people having an opinion.
So, yeah, I do not have a problem with your right to having an opinion. I just think that your opinion is utter she-ite.
And as for insults? No, I do not have to resort to them. It is just that some people deserve them.

All Gale needs to do when he gets close to the line is pass to Kearney instead of trying to send the 2nd rower through on a crash ball and rendering the overlap irrelevant.

Piece of pi ss, GF here come the Bulls, if only they had thought of it. There are teams who you worry are going to score when they get near your line due to the amount of options & line breakers in their team. Bulls don't have that luxury.

Agree with this.
I have also been unimpressed with Gale. As he's been injured and missed pre-season, i'm prepared to let him get up to speed, but I agree that his decision making has been poor so far. We never seem like a team that will spread the play to the wings, mainly because we seem to favour the crash ball.
During the Leeds game, I was thinking we would have been better with Addy in the halves, that probably gives a reflection of how I thought Gale was playing.
As for Olbison - I actually think he's a better prospect than Whitehead. His performances have really picked up from last season. During the early SL rounds, I thought his defence was solid. He did have a mare against Leeds, but most of the team did.

I am able to take an unbiased and critical view, and I've seen very many bad/average/good/very good/exceptional halfbacks over more years than I care to remember, so I reckon I've a very sound basis for any comparisons I make. I'm not "easily impressed" at all. I just know what I'm talking about.
Gale's been out a long time. The team have learned to play with a completely different halfback combination and it is clear that they have to re-adjust to playing with Gale at 7, who offers a completely different game than say, Addy or Sammutt.
Anyway I note you say you don't think he is "crap" but "overrated". Can you tell me which ratings you are referring to, so I can check them and tell you whether I agree.
