I wouldn't touch Willie Mason with a barge pole, IMO he's a luxury type of signing in that he can excell in a very good side. But on the down side he's a proven trouble causer, how many SL sides can afford to carry such a loose cannon as him?

Willie's obviously got more upstairs then we've credited him. Getting a nice wage at Hull for doing nowt, and not daft enough either to have Bradford Bulls on his CV!

To be fair to Mason this isn't his fault he is on the sidelines, and he certainly isn't fat and why wouldnt you be paying some of his wages u saying u expect him to play for nothing, his last game for us against Wigan was his best, you haven't hardly seen him play Imo the more game time he would have got the better he would get.

It is ironic that the Bulls seem to be coming in for veiled criticism for NOT signing thirty-something Ocker pension-seekers (Laffranchi) simultaneously with being criticised for even being interested in thirty-something Ocker pension-seekers (Mason). He would, as would Orford if things had worked out, the truth being that a mixture of young and experienced, with a smattering of overseas good 'uns of whatever age, has invariably proved to be the best mix.
