Quote: roger daly "I know we ain't fantastic at the moment but I think Catalan are really poor at the moment, but hope they improve for next week against the mighty Wildcats

It's good to read their own fans in their own forum all agreeing how poop they are'"

Crunch game next week that for me. How Catalans win as they have too many good players to be interleaving mix. They will sack ther coach if they do get dragged into it and a good coach with them players puts them as play-off contenders.

Wakey lose 4 opening games, pressure kicks in.

I still think injuries are going to play a huge part. The next two games I don't expect any points, but KR and Widnes after that ate two crunch games. Cannot afford to lose BOTH of them. Hopefully Ferguson & Blythe will be back and hopefully we can extend Mullallys loan.

Would be able to sign mullaly for the season though? He was great today and he has improved his tackle technique.

...which goes straight into the top ten tackling stints in the SL era. It would be the performance of the round if Houghton hadn't made the same number without missing any.

Not a classic game but in the circumstances I thought the lads put in a great team performance and it was good to see them bonding before kick off. A big defensive stint as the Broncos appeared to have more possession? and both their scores came from a lucky bounce of the ball. Providing no more off-field antics this week could be an interesting match at the KC next week - any points there would be a real bonus.

Kearney needs to sort his boots out, lucky the Broncos player got greedy and wanted to score under the post or we would have had a very different score line.

Any news on George, he looked very groggy as he left the field?

Going to be a very interesting season!'"

Sod that we would be in 4th, takes me back to last year when we where 2nd and 3rd of 5 or so weeks then it are went tits up.

I thought it was a good effort by the team. They were quite nervy and uptight which understandable given what was at stake. The game itself was pretty close for long periods as we never applied any pressure in the first half until just before half time. Gale’s try was a peach and Sidlow showed how much it meant to him when he scored. In the second half we threatened to cut loose at times without ever really doing so.

I thought Addy, Donaldson and Olbison (in the second half) had great games and worked their backsides off. Mulally certainly offered a lot, particularly at the beginning of his stints but he played some big minutes. . Gale again organised us well. Less impressive was Kearney who had a bit of a mare and Foster who made a shocker under the bomb. All in all it was a win but we’ll have much sterner tests to come.

The game as a spectacle was pretty awful. Both sides were allowed to stand well offside and it was the slowest play the ball I’ve seen in years. For some reasons the ref did nothing to address this. It was a baffling performance from him and he needs to address this. Roby has never been one of the better refs but this was just woeful. Both teams were allowed to get away with all sorts of messing around which should never have happened. Cummins said in his interview that the PTB speed reminded him of the 1980s!

I thought London tried hard and with a bit more composure might have sneaked it. They have some honest toilers but no real cutting edge. They also had to contend with a injury which meant they ran out of steam a bit.

We’ve got some much tougher challenges ahead and we’re in for some thrashings that’s for sure as we’re seriously short of power up front. It’s a shame Mulally can’t play versus Hudders, we’ll be seriously outgunned in the forwards in that game as we only have 2 bona fide props and a light backrow.

That said nobody expects us to win those sort of games so the lads can go into them under no pressure at all.

Also worth a mention of the difference Diskin makes when he comes on, we where under serious pressure and making mistakes when he went off and we greatly improve during the last 20 when he was back on.

I thought we really lacked a leader for large parts of the game, i dont think Gale is the leader we seek and like i said above Diskin being subbed out more pressure on Gale than he could handle i thought.

I have read, on various different pages, some amount of halfwits slugging us off for only winning by 13 points. Some people really need to get a grip on reality.

Under the current circumstances, the win was all that bothered me, and, if I was to be a bit bold to suggest that if we do end up needing to rely on points difference at the end of the season then it was two points on the board and a 26 point swing in points difference.

Well done lads. Great stuff!

The weather yesterday pretty much summed up everything at the Bulls recently.I thought the first try was pretty good yesterday, the pass from Foster to Gale had to be perfect and it was,a 15-20 yard pass running at full pace ain't easy.I thought Olbison ran very well in the second half, not always been his biggest fan but he showed what he can do yesterday.Donaldsons defence needs a special mention,60 odd tackles, really impressive. We looked better when Diskin was on,there was a period middle of second half when we seemed to of upped the pace and another try would of put the game to bed earlier than it was.Overall it was a very good win althings considered, right now a not very pretty win is all that's needed

Is it definite that mullaly is out of there Huddersfield clash? I seem to remember fairbank played last season against Huddersfield at the magic weekend?

Depends on the terms of his loan, they may fear mullaly more per say than they did fairbank, he really does ad some biff when the comes on, if em get sorted he would be the first person I would look at signing till the end of the season, or maybe he could beg the giants to cancel his contract due to lack of first team play and come to us, stranger things have happened.

I've definitely read somewhere that Mullally won't be available when we face Huddersfield, which is obviously a blow to our chances. Perhaps though we might have Ferguson/Blythe back then to bolster our numbers a little, or perhaps another loanee such as Evans.

Taking on Hudders with only two bona fide props with probably Chev and Danny Bridge propping the rest of the time makes that game a foregone conclusion.
