Perhaps the players read the RAB score projections and thought they just needed to catch the bus to the ground.

Surely Shaw has to play each week for his kicking, kept his cool under a lot of pressure.

Sounds like we were well off the pace today and Batley were very up for it. John Kear will have really got his players fired up for this game so in some respects it is pleasing that we've found a way to win. But only just by the skin of our teeth. Maybe a bit of a wake up call for our players that we have to keep intensity up otherwise we will slip up againt one of the smaller clubs.

Another 2 points on the board though.

Absolute nerves of steel from Shaw to land that touchline conversion to make it 20-19. It didn't matter in the end but he wasn't to know that.

Massive wake up call for the Bulls today. We played well for 5 minutes in the first half and then 6 minutes in the second half. I think we missed JPB, Ferguson and Purtell on the outside flanks.

Today's result will be a big reality check.

For a full time team i am surprised that our fitness isn't that much better, Batley and Whitehaven were not that much off our pace at the end of the day.
