I've been wondering if this means Wagga to the halves...?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wagga move on. I'd expect Diskin to be starting hooker with L'Strange coming off the bench as he did for Manly.

There's no doubt Diskin's a good hooker. He and Eastwood were key to the Loiners win at Odsal this season. Diskin at dummy half had us in all sorts of trouble that day.

As for the halves I can't see us converting either of L'Strange or Godwin to play there.

Worth a try I suppose. Partnered with another quality signing perhaps?

Happy with the Diskin move if it's confirmed.

I'd probably go the other way and start with l'estrange with diskin off bench. But thats purely because I think l'estrange is the better player although not by a massive margin. think either option could work.

regarding wagga or l'estrange moving into halves. If we arent going to go down that route then I cant see us retaining all 3 hookers. Whilst wagga isnt the best he'd certainly get a hooking berth at SL level. Is there another SL club with hooking problems and a decent half we could be looking at a swap deal with?

no way would he get three years with the rhinos and he needed to think about his family and all that......he would have left us at the end of 2011 unless he had one hell of a season.....

he has not impressed other than a couple of games this year but I think his game will pick up with the new challenge.....

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I wonder whether Godwin is being lined up to be the makeweight in a deal to bring in a quality half back. I hope so, because three first choice hookers and no scrum half seems a slightly odd notion ...

According to the League Weekly Potter is keen on bringing in the French half back Greseque..

So maybe a half back pairing of Greseque and Pryce? and the alternating Hookers being Le Estrange and Diskin..

It brings competition for place in the hookers. Which we don't currently have.

O'Brien is still too young. With that in mind, L'Estrange & Godwin are guaranteed to play every week when fit. Seems from the other positions that Potter doesn't like guaranteed places. Bringing Diskin in means 3 hookers fighting for 2 places.

If we assume nobody is going, except Orford, this now means that the ONLY positions we don't have competition for is the halves. With 2 or 3 signings left to come, that could be resolved too.

I don't think this signing necessarily means anyone is moving on.
