Quote: Bully_Boxer "To be fair what is Gale supposed to do when the forwards aren't laying the platform? We struggled to match Leeds physically pretty much all game.'"

It's more when we were attacking Leeds try line. Kept picking the wrong pass, kicked on third tackle when we had some momentum in second half, one bounce and went dead with no any one where near it. His kicks from deep i thought were very good, but he just doesn't look convincing attacking the line.

Also will someone tell the players when we have a scrum and there is a minute left, to keep hold of the bloody ball! Two weeks we've dropped from a scrum on the 1st tackle and conceded a try right before half time.

Quote: Bully_Boxer "Add into the mix that he missed out on pre season he is bound to take some time to slot back into the team. I'm more concerned about the errors that Sammut comes up with that puts the whole team under pressure.'"

With the sort of player Sammut is, you have to take the rough with the smooth. Yes, he might make errors but he can also produce some magic that can turn a game in our favour.

I think we need to look at our early season form for what it seems it was and that is that we were punching above our weight. We beat all the teams who you could be considered beneath us, but apart from the Huddersfield game and the draw at Leeds, we haven't shown that we can run with the big boys of the league.

But tbh, I said before this season kicked off that we should just take what comes results wise. The team was put together on a shoe string, long after the rest of the league were done with sorting out their recruitment, apart from Huddersfield obviously, meaning what players remained available for us to sign were not of the highest quality. However, I feel that quality may come back in the next off season given that for the first time in a long while we'll likely go into an off season without some sort of trouble which means our recruitment won't be hamstrung by missing the boat due to financial trouble or being left guessing if an overpaid aussie mercenary will actually honour the large contract he was given and readily signed.

So, in conclusion, although it's never nice to lose to neighbours, this year at least it's not the be all and end all. 2013 is merely the first true step on the long road back to recovery.

I don't think it is right that we should simply accept the rough with the smooth regarding Sammut though. He can be a very exciting player and has produced some fantastic skills so far this year. But equally he often leaves you with your head in your hands asking why the hell did you just do something so stupid.

Moving forward he needs to find some consistency in his game.

I agree thought he was in shout of bein mom, wasnt sure bout him before season started but he turning into a very useful player gets around alot and tackle like a beast when its needed, wasn't fazed by the high shot when he wwnt for his try.

I don't know why donno is out in the cold he may not be the best attacking player, but when he is playing we seem a lot more steady and he really gets around

That is a terrible call,Addy,Donaldson,Walker and no doubt 1or 2 others need to be moved on for next season

I have said all season and last season Addy and Donaldson are not good enough if we hope to be back in the top 8, I reckon they are championship players at best

A few week ago I thought we was doing ok, I'm afraid last few week has shown us a few players are just not good enough

You really are clueless. Playing against Wigan, Warrington and Leeds back to back isn't a walk in the park. We were in the top 4 before that run of 3 games and that was with Addy and Sammut guiding us around the park and I think he did a great job considering he isn't a natural half back. And as for letting Donaldson go, you're mad! A good home grown player who has bags of potential and is a workhorse. Get a grip man, lose 3 games in a row to title challengers and you're calling for players to be let go. Numpty.

Numpty????

It's not about the fact we have lost to Leeds Wigan Warrington,it's about the fact some players are rally showing their limitations, have you wondered why Donaldson is the water boy so many times, maybe the coach doesn't rate him as high as you do,so no doubt Cummins must be a numpty as well

Addy is that slow when he's got the ball our lass could read what he's gonna do

Numpty

Think about the state the club was in this time last year, think about how bad our finances were, how bad they STILL are no thanks in part to the RFL.

Sick of listening to this crap now. You are talking utter b0ll0ck$ I am afraid.

What about "the state the club were in" last year when we went to Wigan and won? When your point may have been valid?

There is absolutely NO EXCUSE whatsoever for that embarrassment of a first half "performance" last night. Basic simple errors and appalling mistakes. You could have driven a bus through our defence in the 1st half last night.

As for our finances? Easy to look elsewhere for the blame. We are where we are because of one or two individuals who put the club where it was. We were well warned. Don't blame the RFL for us getting into so much trouble in the first instance.

Three mullerings in a row and we now know where exactly we stand in the competition. Thank god for St Helens at the moment.

Much improvement required.

You know that guest substitute spot that youngsters used to get, sitting out the game next to Banana? He does that, but on the pitch.

Before this run of three games I said I'd be happy with 2 points. By that measure I shouldn't be too unhappy with none, but I am. That was rubbish, and on that evidence we might make the play offs but we'll deservedly be straight out in round one.

Usually gets through a ton of work and generally grafts his nuts off. But given he had just returned from injury I think we can cut him some slack for being a little off the pace.

I'd like to know what our co-captain and one of our highest paid players Matt Diskin does...

Spends a lot of time in the pie shop by the looks of it.

I'm going to have to stop agreeing with mystic Eddie so often, called it spot on again. Olbison has had a few decent games, but I fear he's going to end up like Ainscough. Bags of effort but doesn't have the skills to match it.

Tbh the only ones with any credit last night are the two Welshmen IMO.

It was like watching a McNamara team all over again last night which has to be a worry.

Leeds were hot, they'd clearly gone for the jugular from the the off and after three unanswered tries the game was pretty much up.

What could we have done to slow their play-the-ball which was about as fast as I've ever seen it? Reminded me of St Helens in their Super League heyday. They didn't seem to have a problem slowing ours down (but that was probably the pedestrian way we ran into tackles at times).

We're sat 7th in the table after getting beaten by an on form Leeds side and fans are going way over the top as usual.

I also can't believe some of the players getting criticism either, the comment about Olbison is ridiculous. Sammut makes mistakes but at least he creates something, unlike Gale who is consistently a passenger throughout games. He has been a massive flop. People slated Addy but for me he offered as much in attack whilst also acted as another forward in defense, something we need with our light pack, Gale is non-existent in defense.

We really did miss Langley and I would have also played Donaldson, maybe not the best going forward but at least he is solid in defense.
