Year before last. They're next game was against us and they knocked us out on a wet Saturday (I think) Afternoon in front of about 150 fans.

They eventually reached the final but lost to Saints. They played Wakefield in the Semi Final at Doncaster IIRC.

yeah it was a poster on Fax RLfans board. thread title is michael ostick. Was quite amusing saturday night watching all the posts screaming for mods to remove the thread. Think cat was too far out of bag at that stage, Plus a widnes fan posted and said he'd emailed the RFL re the thread.

interesting point someone on fax board made earlier. Theres 2 deadlines for registering players for cup. one early on and a 2nd one for quarter finals onwards. How did crusader manage to register sammut for their game against catalans on sunday given they didnt even announce signing until week after the previous round of the cup?
Its largely academic now as crusaders are out of cup but RFL have to be seen to treat everyone equally so crusaders could be in line for a fine too.

To be fair, this isn't the first time Halifax have been outed as cheats and it wont be the last. The club and its supporters are murderers and rapists. They seem to me, to personify broken britain in a very real and very evil sense.

Because Sammut has been signed for ages, he just didn't get his Visa until recently. They were sensible in not announcing the signing until the visa came through (after last year's debacles with Carney, Crocker & Bird). Also, supposedly he would have been over here earlier if it wasn't for the Volcanic Ash stopping him from getting into the country.

Presumably, as long as they had a contract signed with him (subject to visa), they could register him.
