Sorry pal, my life doesnt revolve around a forum. I have no interest in keeping up with every single thing on here.

Thought I had a valid point about the club losing revenue by not offering choice to the punters.

Any news on polo shirts and a full leisure range? I know we are unique in circumstances after last year, but the other ISC clubs have a full range. E.G. Hull FC have a better webstore than many champions league football clubs.

Not knocking the club or Omar on any level, but people are wanting to buy merch. We want to spend our money at the club so it goes into the club coffers! Any ideas??

The chap, who loads of people (Read: Leeds club and fans) overreacted to on Twitter last week over him tweeting a picture of someone with a "We 8 Rhinos" print on the shirt, is apparently no longer employed by the club.

I read on twitter a retraction and apology from him regarding something he had posted but I didn't see what was put up. I can't honestly believe the guy has got into bother for the above, the way he apologised I assumed it must have been something offensive.

I suspect there is more to it but its not really any of our business I suppose. He did seem a nice chap though and probably the friendliest welcome I've had in the club shop for some time.

I think it was the day the player's authentic shirts came in. He put up a photo to show what the lettering looked like on printed versions of them. Unfortunately he chose someone who had "We 8 Rhinos" (or something like that anyway) printed on theirs as the example. It was an error in judgement, but certainly nothing as bad as a lot of people made out. The Leeds club then tweeted something along the lines of it being poor form, and other clubs wouldn't do it, perhaps the shirt printing policy needs looking into. (again, can't remember the exact wording). He then realised it was a mistake to put it up, deleted it, apologised and did the usual "it wasn't the view of the club, not even my view, didn't think about it properly, sorry" kind of thing. Acknowledged the error and apologised, which is all it needed. A few Rhino fans on Twitter went into some kind of meltdown like his tweet was on a par with global war crimes. The usual massive overreaction. (Thankfully other more sensible Leeds tweeters, along with other clubs' fans, ridiculed them for going so crazy about it).

He's tweeted today saying he's no longer in the job. From his tweets, it appears that incident is the reason that's been given for him being let go, even though he appears to think it's an excuse and there were other motives. That last paragraph of mine is just an impression picked up on myself by his tweets though, and nothing he's actually said outright (so just my interpretation of what he's said).

The way of the world now I suppose, always somebody ready to be offended by something and nothing.

A bit OTT, imo.

The whole 'we 8 rhinos' thing is nothing more than banter - and reciprocated by the Headingley faithfull, who will no doubt be searching for their father's gun (along with the Bulls) on Thursday night.

Seems a bit strong for someone to lose their living over it.

I agree. There must be more to it. Seems really harsh.

If there is more to it though, they need to say so. At the moment, they're not coming across in a good light. If there's other reasons, say there are, so that people realise that and get off their back. As it stands, they look like a terrible employer where everyone is walking on eggshells in case they make a mistake and lose their job.

One would expect that the players "tweets" will also shortly be regulated. Some of the language is pretty poor, and given the age of some of the players followers, you would hope that this would also be addressed if they are not going to be seen as giving certain people preferential treatment or casting a blind eye to it.

If there is more to the dismissal, then the club should indicate this is the case. However, if it is purely all about a couple of tweets, then I'm sure the guy who was removed can pull off SEVERAL of the players tweets that could be deemed to be bringing the club or game into disrepute
