Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. Mark Twain Build Bridges NOT Walls:1271.jpg

I thought it was a good game, especially the first half which had everything you want in a game of rugby; good attacking moves, solid defence, some big hits and general 'take no prisoners' defending and a scoreline which was as tight as a drum. I thought the game fell away a bit in the second period, entirely because one side (us) made too many (largely) unforced errors which Leeds very clinically punished and finished deserved winners. Though, I confess the tackling was pretty torrid at times in the second half, just ask JP after that hit from Elima put him on his backside!

I was amazed when, as I was driving home, someone on Radio Leeds said the first half was "poor" and the second was "great". For an out an out Rhino fan, with no interest in watching a good game I'd accept that might be true, but not for a neutral. As a fan I'll take any tries, however they come about, but well worked moves will always be better for me than picking up a loose ball and falling over the line.

On the topic of Leeds' fans and what they think, I passed a group of young lads when walking back to the car and as I passed the conversation changed ( I assumed for my benefit) from how brilliant the Rhinos had been to how it was funny (ha ha) that the Bulls were in trouble. They all had a good laugh (though there never any possibility I would rise to the bait), but it changed when one of the kids said he thought it would be 'good if the Bulls disappeared from rugby league' - his mate who had been laughing at the Bulls' position only seconds previously said, "No, I don't want them to go. If they do, we wouldn't get great derbies like we'd just seen". the kid who suggested the Bulls should go was given short shrift by his mates. So whilst I don't doubt for a second that they were singing about what they'd do with their father's gun during the game, when it came to it they were well able to see a bigger picture. I have to say I felt a bit uplifted by it.

I thought Peacock looked a shadow of his former self and was knocked around all over the pitch. Obviously haven't seen him week in week out but he looked to be struggling a bit to me.

We lacked any attacking threat when BK went off and Sammuts defence is just as bad at the back as Kearneys. Adam OBrien needs to speed is passing up from dummy half, it's far to slow and we desperatley need some attacking threat down the right hand side because it's none existent. Hargreaves and ELima played really well.

Stevie Ward was a monster for Leeds. A real talent.

In general, RL fans are brilliant. It's just unfortunate that this makes the few that aren't appear extremely tish by comparison. And all clubs have this unfortunate minority.

Indeed.

And a shame that we seem to have suffered infestation by a disproportionate number of these bottom-feeders on these forums since our present difficulties began, which would tarnish the reputations of their respective proud clubs except most of us appreciate they represent a sad small minority.

Have to agree with the comments re Pryce. Friday he was at his most infuriating. Looked disinterested, lethargic etc etc. He scored his customary try, but has any winger ever scored as many without ever running too far. If has scored 45 tries or so for us, I bet he hasn't run 60 yards for the olt of them. Kear and Crookes are supposedly near to a return, so he could be out for the next few weeks or until we pick up the next 8/10 week injury.

When Pryce decided to throw his ludicrous basketball pass (wasn't on the highlights, understandably) can anyone give me any reasonable explanation why an eight foot, 20 stone winger would not have just taken his chances and ploughed for the line?

Can you imagine any other winger - even a slightly built lad like Crookes - not going for that?
