It depends on your POV to be honest. If you look back to what was done in the late 90s, it hasn't been 'fully embraced' for years. It has to be done with regard to the economics though, and whilst a few will miss the band and the girls, I'm sure the PA will be blaring out and the teams will be announced. Much as I'm normally the last one to want jobs to go we'll have to live with it I'm afraid.

It's no great loss and in the grand scheme of things inconsequential. Never known of anybody making the decision to attend a game based on pre match/HT entertainment or the lack thereof.

Tbh with Olympic torch passing ground wouldn't be surprised if a lot stay outside to watch that and only come onto ground five minutes before kickoff. Seems daft spending money on pre match on those circumstances.
