with their squad i would expect saints to be competing in finals and be around the top 3 in the league. they are/have been. quins and bulls with our squads i would expect mid table or slightly higher with a bit of luck and to be in the playoffs/have occational good cup runs. we are not meeting them expectations and have not done so for more than one season. why do you think mcd is so much better than potter?

I'd hardly call a 10 point margin a stuffing. It was not Saint's best performance this season, but one bad result hardly means that Potter is a poor coach.

Anderson signed a new 2 year deal so I doubt it. I would still expect Anderson to take over from Brown after next season.

I know every set of fans' problems are all relative, but to see saints fans demanding potter to be sacked just for the fact that they aren't winning every match they play is a bit much when we're in the catastrophic position we're in right now.
God knows how they would react if they ever found themselves stuck with no cash, spending way below the cap limit, with a completely average squad missing the only creative influence through long term injury and falling short of a playoff place for the second year running.

If it does turn out to be a name not mentioned so far then the board have pulled a blinder in keeping it quiet. AFAIK every current SL coach/assistant has bee mentioned and a fair few aussies. So that would leave either an unknown aussie or a NL1 coach (obviously not millward,cullen or harrison as theyve been mentioned).

Indeed, but if the new coach really isn't Potter or McDermott then the club has really done one hell of a job keeping it under wraps (I know this has been said before, but I thought it deserved saying again in the circumstances).
